Cry of Fear

At most, it is only "meh".

But it is free, so if you want something to do for the next hour or two, go for it. As long as you do not expect anything above mediocre, you will have a fun time.
 
It's a single player psychological horror game.. how is it comparable to L4D? That's just pure zombie slaughter.

This actually looks pretty good imo, might pick it up if someone wants to Skype with me while I play it.
 
Valve posted this on facebook earlier to their audience of "HL3!" chanting morons. Not usually into horror games since I'm a big pussy baby, but I may try this later. Something about it looks really nice.
 
Tried it with 2 friends, do not recommend at all
Graphics are HL, so not very good, the monsters are somewhat OP and if all members die, you have to restart the whole level

Does it have a single-player mode? What about story and music, how are those?

Story-wise, we probably haven't gotten far enough to tell. We've finished like 6-7 levels, then it was full of hard (1 hit kill) monsters and there wasn't any ammo around, so we just decided to quit.
The music was eh, I turned it off because I found it loud and annoying in the menu and not very good in-game
EDIT: I just saw PewDiePie 's(ew) video, our game looked nothing like that. Maybe it's because it was multiplayer

There are two multiplayer modes: co-op story, and what I call the suicide maps (cof_suicide1-4). The suicide maps are horribly difficult, and you shouldn't even look in their general direction until you've at least played singleplayer story.
And no, it's not like L4D at all.

The multi-player is a bit wonky, but the story line for the single player is excellent, and the way the story goes, your supposed to play it single player first then the multi-player. the stories interconnect.
