Got a story you wanna share but you feel it doesn't deserve its one thread and it's too long for an update?
Post it here.
Anything that happened that you found neat/funny/cool/interesting can be posted here.
I'll start it off with a story of two young siblings I met in a hospital today.
the older child, a girl, had some metal disorder that was quite apparent when you saw her. She always had a huge smile with her top teeth showing, in a cheery yet unnatural way and couldn't speak so if she got excited for any reason or wanted something she would make this loud growling-like noise, like half yelling half mumbling and whatever she is trying to say isn't close to any language, just noises. Her younger brother just sat next to her, his hand around her shoulder and just looking around to see if anyone is staring at her and trying to see what is getting her excited. He couldn't be older than 7 and she couldn't be older than 9, and he looked around not in a mean threatening way, but like a loyal dog who is looking around guarding his bestfriend. The reason why I say the word excited is because that's what they little boy called her. She started making loud noises and started awkwardly clapping her hands, and he just looked around for a second and leaned over to his mom, on the opposite side of his sister, and asked in the most mature and cautious way "Mom, do you know why she is getting excited like this?". I just found it really touching and couldn't hold back a smile of just how cute and amazing that little boy way, protecting his older sister and just watching over her, when he simply could have ran off to the play area the hospital has set up for younger kids, letting his mom sit with her. I wanted to take a picture of them, and upload it so you can see how cute and amazing that kid is with his sister, but I decided not to out of respect for the sister as it can be easily misinterpreted for why I want to photograph a mentally disabled child and offend her parents.
