Are players allowed to turn a normal server into a Conga party at random times? Honestly, I don't get to play as often I'd like, but when I do, you can usually find me in the US Turbine +32 server. This server gets a bit saturated from time to time -- be it by some random political rant or your usual mic spammer -- but I've grown to enjoy it. Not as much anymore. These new misc fads, like the Conga parties, have prompted groups of players from the same team to completely break off from the objective and do nothing but taunts and dances, virtually crippling the team they are in. I get these are fun and comical and all that shit, but when the few times you get to play are continually brought to a halt, it starts to get annoying.

Is this encouraged by Skial? I'm not here to name anyone, but I want clarification because it honestly bothers me. Having three or four or five players completely bring the game to a halt is frustrating -- it ruins the game for the rest of the people that want to play the game as intended instead of watching a few players revel in this crap.

We've actually debated about this before on Skial, if you refer to the "Ban the Conga Taunt" thread. Our last consideration was conga'ing is okay until it becomes too bothersome. Say a group of 3 or more doing it for more then a minute or so. You can record a demo of someone using it excessively. (more preferably the player who owns the conga), and report them.z But it's better to call a admin, for they have the best judgment over these matters.
 
Just report the friendlies and people who aren't contributing to the team, then the conga parties will eventually stop.
 
  • Harming your team for an extended period of time.
    • Example: blocking sniper views, teleporter traps, refusing to help advance your teams position

If anyone doing the Conga taunt and not helping their team at all, call an admin to the server and they'll take care of it.

You're allowed to conga, as long as it is not with the enemy team duing gameplay as it is being friendly. And you need to be sure that while you are using the conga it doesn't hold your team back, as that is griefing. Although you can do those things on the trade servers, the idle server, and on Jailbreak.
