Gore-Spattered Heavy
So, I fired up tf2 today, to join my friends in a game of 2fort. I open up my server browser and look for EU1, and find it, but when I double click, the server dialog is empty, and says "Server is not responding":

So, instead I open up my friends list to see if I could connect from there:
Connection_Issues1.jpg

The server details and everything are fine. So i join the game- connect:
Connection_Issues2.jpg

And it stays on this screen for about a minute before this message pops up:

So basically...
A) Does anyone know what the problem is?
B) Can it be fixed?

Thanks for your time.

I just tried it and connected ok... try connecting through console...

connect 188.165.211.23:2000

Same thing, connecting for 30 seconds then an error message. Which is strange because I can play on any of the other servers, and everyone else can play on that server :|

EDIT: just trying a tracert

yeah now that is weird..
The only thing I can suggest is reboot your router. fuck it reboot everything... it could just be bad routing.. I dunno

maybe your firewall has blocked that for some reason.. disable and try

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. On the Start menu, click Run....
  3. Type the following in the Run text box: ipconfig /flushdns
do this before unplugging your modem.. when you unplug it, make sure you unplug the power lead as well.

I flushed the dns in command prompt earlier, 2 router reboots later, it appears to be working. Thanks!
