This. I haven't seen a good texture pack that beats it.

If your computer can handle it(you need a pretty powerful one), I highly recommend Sonic Ether's Unbelieveable Shaders.

Stock MC for me feels to, I dunno, blocky (yeah, that's the point, but some blocks, like Soul Sand just look like shit in the default). Faithful is the only texture pack I've ever really liked, aside from good shaders, like the one Drum mentioned.

Faithful stays true to the feel of MC, yet makes it look so much better.

Any other pack I've used just felt way to overdone, or that it didn't have a lot of effort put into it.

Dokucraft RPG, as I believe it was called, was my favorite until Doku stopped supporting it.
