Bring back these Deathrun maps, lots of people I know want them back:
  • Neonoir
  • Technoir
  • Outrun
  • Simulation
  • Nighttown
  • Waterrun
  • PQ
Why bring back these maps?

  • I sort of agree with why some of these are gone, 'cause it is "barely" Deathrun and more parkouring, but think of nighttown. Why was nighttown removed, when there are maps that include more parkour than it, such as dr_scooby_doo? It has way more parkouring and platforming than nighttown does, nighttown has a good amount of traps and the quality of the map is really good. So out of all these maps, I think it'd be fair for nighttown to be brought back, but the rest would be nice to have.

  • Another map similar, Waterrun, sure it is a platforming map but it's got a bunch of traps, and also the Death can press a button to give you Freerun, and even a button to make you have a bunch of lives. You get multiple chances to beat the map, it's a bit challenging but not even that hard.

  • A third map that was also removed, is PQ, it is like nighttown, where the quality of the map is good, has a good amount of traps, isn't too long, and has less platforming than dr_scooby_doo. Which is why it's still unfair that dr_scooby_doo gets to stay whereas nighttown, waterrun, and PQ don't get to stay.

Ok, you do realize that those parkour maps have traps right. They're just harder variants of death run. I mean technoir had a fair amount of traps and so does waterun and simulacrum. Hell, even cybertower and spinner had a fair amount of traps too. You can't just bitch about a map not being DR because its hard, if it doesn't have traps and its all about parkour or something else not related then boom its not DR.

And quite hyproictal that there's 2 maps that were added but don't relate to the game mode


The peter griffin fnaf map in ZE isn't ZE at all and its mostly just Five Nights At Freedys.

Deathrun Minigames isn't even deathrun too, yet its on the DR server. (I don't think minigames is bad, the map is fun but it isn't deathrun)

Also, parkour didn't die because it "wasn't deathrun" parkour died because almost all the maps had 30 to 1 player syndrome where the one skilled player could beat the map while the other 30 players on the server were forced to spectate every round because the skill required to beat most of these maps caused the average skial player to die instantly while the parkour players speedrun it and in turn would drop the average player count and cause people who only played parkour to come on to server and force the server to do nothing but play pq, neonoir, bootcamp and nighttown on loop while the rest of the community who wanted to play corridor meme maps had no voice because of the amount of players using bots to tell them when a parkour map they liked was on so they play it vastly outweighed the amount of votes any real players could put in and the problem was exacerbated.
 
TBH the parkour server should have just been named Hardcore Deathrun.
I'm not totally convinced that would actually fix the problem, the people who want to play "hardcore deathrun" already know about the server and could be playing it if they wanted to, but instead would rather complain about minor shit like the naming scheme, the bot, or the lack of "normal" maps when the whole point of the hardcore server was to give them their own server for them to play maps as hard as they wanted without interrupting the flow of normal deathrun players. It seems these parkour players just aren't ever going to be happy unless skial turns into the parkour 6 que hell it was pre feb 2024.

The whole "corridor meme map players" having no voice because of "parkour players" just isnt true. It was mostly a 50/50 between playing parkour maps and corridor maps. Now that the parkour maps are gone the "parkour players" are the ones with no voice. But i guess you're fine with that being a corridor meme map fan yourself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. The whole "parkour 6 queue hell" is just replaced by "corridor 6 queue hell" now lmao.

I don't know how long it's going to take you "parkour" or "hardcore" deathrun players to figure out that the parkour server is the only way forward.

We're never going to put these maps back on the deathrun server.

If you focused your effort on filling the parkour server, it might even be as popular as normal deathrun. But instead you'd rather complain and do nothing.

The server you barley update and implanted very poorly, yea I'm not buying it. The Parkour Sever or it was supposed to be a "Hardcore Deathrun Server" sounded like a good idea, but you made it literally a middle finger to the rest of the parkour players.

Making People Redownloading Maps with the par_ preflix
Having the Bot as an Activator
Barley Updating it
Added a map that's not even Platforming(Nightown isn't Platforming, only reason why its was considered hard was because of that Boss)
And other peoples complaints they like to add too.

If you wanted to separate Platforming DR Maps from the Regular DR server and want it to be popular, then you could had just left it as Hardcore Deathrun. That's it, Just a normal death run server but only with the hard platforming maps and also updating the server. Oh well, you decided to fuck with it and look where that got you.


Look at Sunsteps Hardcore Deathrun Server, They had the idea to separate normal death run maps and hard deathrun maps and they implented it good. Panda also has Neonoir as their 2nd most played map in their server and even if Kevin wants to separate the maps. I think he would just have it as a Hardcore Death run Server.


Also you didn't even get all of the platforming maps, Danger zone is STILL IN THE SERVER and its literally the only one left.

If you want to do this better then i suggest this:

Leave it as HARDCORE DEATHRUN and nothing else, and basically not trying to screw with the mode

Update the server with new maps

Consider disabling Demomans Trimping and Spy's Cloaking. Also Medic's Uber charge.

Maybe Advertise the Parkour Server more

And Finally, remove the bot as the activator because that might be the main reason why people never play in the Parkour Server.

Thats it, only that will make the Hardcore Deathrun server, or what you call it "Parkour Server" come back to life.

Also who said I go to random players DM's and say "HEY UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU IM KIM JON UN AND YOU SHOULD STOP PLAYING DEATHRUN AND PLAY NY PARKOUR OR ELSE I WILL STAB YOUR FUCKING FAIMLY AND BURN THEM". Also, i highly doubt i will be leaching normal DR players just because i suggested it to just be a normal Hardcore Death run Server. I mean, that's what a ton of people wanted. Also, i highly doubt a person who wants to play Death run for the first time will join the hardcore server and think "Oh this is death run". Since they are a beginner to the mode, they will just play in the normal server. Nothing has changed.

Part 2 of this:

Nightown looks like it may be parkour because of the boss, but the first half is literally a corridor like normally. For a good proportion until you reach 1 platforming section, but then its back to a normal section. Don't belive me then i can just record a playthorugh of the map and i can send it through Discord

The map isn't even in rotation anymore and there a big difference between deathrun and ze that makes all the difference.

When you die in ze you can still play. When you die in deathrun, you can't.

This seems to be a concept that you parkour lovers can't seem to understand.

"did pretty well" as in had the entire 10 people from death experiments for a week on it from opening hype and then they got bored of it... because they didn't fix any of the major problems with the game mode.

When will you realize that if you keep calling it deathrun to leech off normal deathrun players and don't fix any of the fundamental problems, it is forever going to be a niche 10 player thing?
