Hello everyone. In the last vsh update some weapons got changed. In this suggestion I wanna talk about the medic's overheal that now is almost useless (good only to let you take some blasting or fall damage). Before the update all the classes fully overhealed could survive a hit (3 hits for the heavies) from Hale.
Now, since it got nerfed, most classes can't survive a hit even if they are fully overhealed.
The medics are now pretty much useless if they don't have the uber and they are more forced to pocket a heavy or a soldier instead of healing everyone.

I don't see anything in the patch notes about nerfing overheal.

This is the only thing with the word overheal in it and it is darwin's danger shield.

Re-enabled Darwin's Danger Shield. Overhealed sniper can tank a hit!

The 50% overheal bonus is from VSH 1.41 when Flaminsarge was working on VSH

It wasn't mentioned in the changelog on for some reason and now that Chdata has taken over maintaining VSH, updating it with his version of VSH.
I think you can reinstate it by adding attribute 11 to the custom medi-gun.

Also, the crits Demomen receive from equipping a shield got nerfed to mini-crits, if it's not too much trouble, set the hale_shield_crits cvar to 1.

I think that the double overheal isn't something from the vsh plugin, in fact, it's just a cvar.

By default it's set to 1.5 but I clearly remember overhealing people to it's double HP on vsh and even in dr so, before the vsh update that cvar was set to 2.0 and now, for some reason, it's back to the default 1.5

This engie is completely overhealed, he can't take a hit from hale. The cvar is set at it's default value

In this pic, I set the overheal to x2 and fully overhealed him. Now he can easily survive a hit. This is how it was before the update.
In my opinion, medics were much more valuable and fun to play before when you could overheal someone and give him a chance of surviving a hit or even two
