So I got on TF2 today since last summer to play on my favorite server, only to learn that it was disabled due to not enough players regularly going on it I would like to see if I may get this server back. If you support this, please post. I had very good memories playing on Mountain Lab NY due to the regulars generally were cool people and one of my favorite maps. I feel if we can get enough people to post, we can bring back (IMO) on of the greatest Skial servers.

You are claiming that your group of friends will keep a server full then you say because of the IP change the server was empty. If you were all keeping it full the IP change wouldn't have mattered.

All I was trying to say is if there was a Mountainlab NY, we would choose it over the TX one. But, alas, we will make due with the TX server.

The IP change of all NY servers...

And after my thread on returning it to Mtn Lab NY once it was removed to a barren Frontier, Bottiger decided to change it to Dustbowl after 3 days.

So none of them were smart enough to ask a friend what the new IP was or, dare I say it, look it up themself (IIRC it was on the front page of skial.com) ...?

I had an announcement spammed every minute saying that the NY servers were going to move a week before I moved them. The new IPs were even on the front page of this website for 13 days. There were also locked servers that said what the new IP was in the title for a whole month.

You guys already had a second chance. I'm not going to keep changing servers because you don't believe with your own eyes that there's not enough people to keep the server alive Two people aren't going to make a difference.

I agree with you. Two people cannot make a difference, but wen those two people have a following of people with the same wants then they all can make a difference.

You probably won't be able to get a following of people with your limited playing time.

I hate to break it to you, but you guys were not the reason why it was full during the summer. Summer itself was the reason.

There's also no doubt in my mind that if I setup the NY server again, you would have a good chance of filling it up for a few days and then it would empty out again because everyone got tired of seeding the server for 4 hours. We're not in a situation to experiment on unpopular servers.

Personally i'm ok with not having the NY labs, and i have to to agree with bott it wasn't full after summer ended. But i would ask this: Could we get mountainlabs back in the summer when it could/would always be full?

I just reinstalled the game recently. I had to quit for a while. And yeah the two of us didn't keep it going, it's like a inside joke between us. But wolf has a really good idea, is that a possibility?
