Improve Big Chewy's Admin Application

My approach is solid approach. I have been on servers that normally would take 15-20 mins (or more) in queue to get online. But, now these servers are ghost towns.
Why did this happen Big Chewy?
I am glad you asked .. the admins on those servers started to rule with a heavy fist (blindly applying the rules) and subsequently ran off the entire server.
My goal would be to keep order and help the server to grow ... you can not do that by blindly applying the rules.
PS .. i never said that it wasnt a bannable offense...its the approach on how to deal with the issue at question. I am confident I would handle the issue to the servers satisfaction.

Only one problem with that logic. You are asking to be the admin of a community, a community you do not own and operate. The admin's role is to enforce rules that have been created and voted on by the community. The admin's role IS NOT to interpret the rules to his own liking. The role of the admin is to do what is asked of him by the owner of the community, Bottiger. What may seem to be making the server fun to you, may in fact piss off others. We have added to and modified the rules of this community mostly by popular vote. To just come in here and claim to know better than others who have been here far longer is not only ignorant, but it shows that you are not ready for a position such as this.

Please re read my post ..... I would enforce the server rules. I specifically talk about the good of the community. Plus you dont have a single admin that I have seen not using judgment .. And you are asking me not to use judgment.

Managing people in real life and managing people in online gaming community are COMPLETELY different things.
Also, your sentence sounds funny. If you are a native speaker then I doubt you "management" a "multi million dollar" group.
Nevertheless, my +1 stays.

I don't like you because you have an ego and you come across as being someone that would take turbine and treat it as your personal kingdom. I think that when people make teletraps you would just lol and say anyone complaining about them was just being too sensitive. I think that if someone you knew and liked was being really racist you would just laugh it off.

I don't think that's a fair assumption since you don't play Turbine with Big Chewy as much as some of us. We have had some times where people were hacking, abusing the vote system, and Chewy did help us out with it. The hacker doesn't come to the server anymore, and the vote abuser was promptly told that he would be banned if he didn't stop calling these votes.
What's wrong with being a little nice? He takes things seriously, and I haven't seen him overlook anything that's offense and/or against the rules.
And.. what ego are you talking about? The only thing he does is say "Ladies and gentlemen of the server, I'd like you to welcome... Big Chewy." That's just his thing, no one else has a problem with it.
Every time I've ever played with him he talks about how cool he is and blahblahblah. I don't like tons of the new regs on there, but I think there are probably better options for an admin from the new regulars.
I don't really care that he's taken upon himself to be a voice of authority or to make himself be someone that lets people know the rules when things are really annoying. But most everyone should be doing that. most old regs on every server do that.
I get some bad feels about him having power
I see the point your trying to make Guildy, but besides a bad feel is there something that happened to make you feel this way?
Back when I was admin I banned four of my friends in a half hour for being racist. Something like that needs to be a quality of all admins, putting rules before feelings.
Also, no fucking clue who Big Chewy is. Seriously, your application has been in for how long?

nope, it's his big personality and buddy buddying that worries me. And considering how shady the regulars on Turbine can sometimes be I think that bad feeling about favoritism is something that would have to be looked out for. (I think some of the long term admins know what I mean by Turbine being shady)
really the only reason I'm bothering to mention my bad feelings about him are because he shrugged off some teletrapping as just a little bit of fun. His application has been up for forever, you'd think that with it still be in the running he'd be disapproving. but whatever.
He made a bad impression. When I play tf2 i play there. I decided that maybe it would be wise to let staffers know my feels. You know, since i have so many of them they are all such special feels.

Its true, I do "management" :) ....a sentence in a game forum cant be the measurement for you judgment as to my career path.
I typically don't talk about my job (have not even shared with my parents my compensation package and employment contract extended when my company brought me on board). Sooooo ... I apologize for mentioning it, but when you "management" sales for North and South American .. it just cracked me up that the gentleman stated that I was not ready for an admin role.

Handling fucked up 13yo kids like Zebra in online gaming community and handling responsible adults in RL are not different things? I doubt it. RL skills don't work here (online).

Good to know.. I was in Rochester just yesterday. Thanks God they are done with construction in downtown. In the summer it was taking me 20 minutes to make it from 2nd st to 4th st.. (my esthetician's office is on 4th st).
PS. GO WINGS! (fucking lockout is driving me crazy)
