Which one in your opinion is the most relished Science-Fiction book/series/filmies?
"Lord of the Rings," doesn't count, because it falls under girly fairy tales genre. (Totally my opinion, LOTR fall's under High Fantasy and Adventure, but some people argue otherwise.)
Those selected up in the poll are most famous :O and recommended to read. : D
except for the Hunger Games one.

Is there one you like, but not up there? Reply it "fo' show".

I personally enjoyed the Dune Series. Books, Movie, and the Command And Conquer game. (The game was horrible ... ly awesome.
And Yes, I meant guide* to the galaxy.

It's not that it's a "girly fairy tale", it's that it's not a sci-fi series.(Surprisingly, swords are not cutting-edge sci-fi tech)

Poll is lacking Star Trek, Halo (and maybe Dr. Who), and while I prefer me some Star Wars, it's hardly fair to put The Hunger Games as more famous "sci-fi" media/books than those three.

Poll is lacking Animorphs.

Um how come Star Trek and Doctor Who aren't listed here? Those two should be a given in the genre

Star Trek totally makes sense! But, I was trying to go for more book oriented though. If LOTR isn't Sci-Fi, what is it in your opinion?

I'm disappointed that the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy wasn't an option.

EDIT: jk, im a dumbass, but I definitely liked Brave New World

I chose Ender's Game simply because it was one of the first books I read for recreation. I think this thread would have been better without the poll too because you're missing so much sci-fi content. There are dozens of books on the level of the books up there, dozens of movies and tv series that should be on there too.

Hunger Games is fantasy, not sci-fi.
This poll is inherently flawed, because it's lacking a lot of options.

I vote for the Halo series, one of my favorite sci-fi series.
Ender's Game is a close second.

I would have had a ton more up there but ... I accidentally hit Post Thread instead of New Poll Response after The War of the Worlds. I had intentions for those, then I was even more bummed out that I couldn't edit it. So that's why I asked for you to reply sci-fi's that aren't up there. Thank you for your input. And apparently Hunger Game's wasn't considered sci-fi until the film(s) came out :/

Hah! Nerdzz!

Also, why the fuck would LOTR be SCI-Fy. It has magic and wants and shit wit math dragons and invisible short elves. That's fantasy.

And Jurassic park? Cuz Walking dinisaurs is so high tech and futuristic

I am unable to tell you the difference between sci-fi and fantasy but in my opinion LOTR is fantasy. I think one could classify something as sci-fi if it does not exist yet or is not possible.

I was referring to the novelizations, though you can also enjoy the game/TV shows.

LOTR is more of a fantasy epic or a fantasy adventure, since it isn't written as science fiction.

(Hunger Games is technically sci-fi, but it focuses more on the utopian/dystopian themes IMHO, placing it behind the sci-fi classics and their novelizations(Including the Halo book series.)

Because you know, cloning totally isn't sci fi.
