ban request: Crayola

plays 'friendly heavy' exclusively, that entails he just sits around being passive with his sandvich out doing nothing; begging people not to kill him so he can be the last person alive, then when he's the last person alive him and other hales just wait for something to happen.

after a few rounds of him being useless, i called him out to do something (see chat log below), he did maybe 3 digits of damage and then said "ok i've done something i'll go and continue being pacifistic now", i called him dumb and useless (etc) and in retaliation he just insisted on being useless for the remainder of the time.

prolonging rounds, hiding and the like is considered griefing, but you can't start any votes against him because he's a donor (he doesn't show up on the votemenu) so it's something we have to deal with if he insists on not doing anything.

he also made a bunch of stupid votemenu votes against people (mainly votemutes, don't got any screenshots of those except one, but i mainly want to get him aware that intentionally being a burden is no fun for the rest).

edit: people being friendly is one of the biggest annoyances on the VSH server tbh, it always starts out with one or two people (mostly sandvich heavies and spycrabs) who think it's funny to go "pls dont kill me im endangered xD", then more people adopt this bullshit, and before you know it, this shit happens:

He was actually playing as a demo when I went on and actually using his weapons. Also, given that it is VSH, I see why it's only one kill every 12.5 minutes. Didn't think about it being VSH.

So... Uh... I dunno.

it's because it's DR now, you can't really be 'friendly' on DR because the map kills you when you don't move forward (there are people who exploit on DR though, in some maps there's either a giant picture of that russian 'Trololo' guy or a giant orange penis that move forward, when it catches up to you; you're dead. some people build teleports/rocketjump/flarejump/stickyjump to get behind those obstacles and just sit around and do nothing, haven't really paid attention to the names of people that do that though.

i made one actually, i started it way too late though, but it should give you an idea of what he usually does (this round was against a guy called "Ferral" or something, if you check the chat logs he also asked other hales previously not to kill him, so the demo doesn't go in the full extend of what he does, all he does is just crouch around and eat sandviches anyway, so it isn't any spectacular footage).

the round before this he pleaded a hale called "Chunky Milk" not to kill him, that took forever; not wanting to endure that again; i got on his balls about it this round.

hales are also at fault, Crayola just happens to try and convince every hale not to kill him; just punishing hale for it whilst Crayola would get off scot-free wouldn't send a good message towards all the other 'friendly' heavies and spycrabs.
 
If I was Hale, I'd kill him. I'd kill him first. If this is a problem, feel free to !vote him off during the time of the offense. If he's playing Politician and convincing Hale to not kill him, Hale is still at fault. We can't just ban someone for not attacking in a F2P FPS because he convinced the other team to do the same. The game has goals, and if neither team is working toward the goals, both teams are at fault.

if this were an option, i would take it (people have been votebanned for doing this before by players themselves, sometimes when this gets out of the hand; admins themselves come onto the server to ban the people in question for griefing). but Crayola isn't affected by votemenu, he doesn't show up on it (my guess it's because he's a donor, i made a thread addressing this issue here.)

As said in that thread, donator status doesn't make you immune to the votemenu.

then why doesn't this guy show up in the votemenu? if you type !votemenu could you get him to show up on it? my best guess is that he's not showing up on it because he's a donator, it's either that or a different, less obvious reason.
