Well I was ban the other day for SMAC 0.8.4.1: ConVar sv_cheats violation for some reason and I really don't know how and why I got ban for this..So Here's my side of the story, I join the server after about a few minutes I say in all chat trading dota2 for tf2 items(Something like that)Then I see that people are talking about banning this one guy that they suspect to be a hacker and I say in all chat "Ban this person", who I don't know the name of (who I think may be a admin and that's why I got banned) few seconds later I've been banned. I thought it may have been a 30 minute ban because of what i said so I never thought anything of it but when I tried one of your servers earlier today it still said i'm banned so I go on source bans and here I am posting a ban appeal. Edit:I just realized It's a ban from CONSOLE, Which I never used sv_cheats on server that blocks sv_cheats wtf is this.

Console is not a person. It's the computer automatically detecting it.

You are correct if you just added sv_cheats 1 to your config it wouldn't do anything and you wouldn't be banned. This is SMAC detecting an external program modifying your game. There's been some issues with crazy mods in the past, but you were playing on a stock server, so yeah, we believe the system that runs on almost every community server for the past few years over what some person says.
