Fluffy Mr Kitty

Scarcely Lethal Noob
Well, apparently I was banned on the 19th, while not on the server, for aimbotting. I'm just now discovering this.

My HLstats page.
The details of my ban.

As I said, I was not on the server at the time of the ban, nor did I use an aimbot or any other method of cheating.

Much appreciated for the quick response and link.
I am not an alt. I do, however, live with other people and what they do under the same IP is none of my business, except when it suddenly concerns me with a ban.

There really isn't a way to prove it wasn't you. I would be more willing to consider it if the account didn't only have 11 hours, only had tf2, somehow has all the achievements earned, and was created last week. That indicates an alt, not a new player.

What about proof on your end that shows it was actually me doing the hacking as opposed to other person who plays TF2 under the same IP as me?
I'm aware that I can't really prove my innocence, but it's equally as difficult to prove that it was me. I'd much rather have a compromise of an unban, and if I'm somehow found to be cheating again, then so be it.

This issue is that the only thing we have to go off of is an IP address. I doubt you would hack on your main account, which is why people make alts thinking they won't get caught. If you can find whoever's account it is and maybe find their main (if they have one) and I think the standard thing is to take a picture with you both holding up your steam ids, then I'll look into unbanning you.

I can tell you that he has no main and I highly doubt he would take a picture (he's not here at the moment). There are few cheaters who feel the urge to post their face for everyone to see. I also imagine it'd be simple enough just to walk up to a buddy, toss a piece of paper with the appropriate ID written on it, and snap a picture.

I'm not a fan of it, but that seems to be what people like. We have an IP as proof, you don't have anything.

The only thing I could provide is something that can easily be faked. If you have no other routes for me to take, then I can't do anything about this, which is, bluntly, bullshit. I'm waiting to ask the aforementioned person about that picture, but like I said, I highly doubt that'll happen.
