Ban Appeal for alleged "Micspamming"

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.

I am a regular on your 2 Fort Skial Chicago server. I was banned by an admin who is known to hate bronies and have a short fuse.
He banned me nearly immediately after he came on, and did not say they were an admin in their warning. All I was doing on the server was playing every song request while I played Engineer. Nobody was complaing, and anyone who didn't like the request simply muted me.
I have attatched some screenshots of the developer's console detailing the chat and my DJ'ing.

Notice a similar ban for micspamming recieved only an hour ban -

Thank you for going about your appeal in a civil and polite manner, but as Ruelel said, micspamming is against the rules.
You'll just have to wait out the ban, sorry.
Try to keep in mind that a large amount of players don't know how to use client mutes next time, and that micspamming is in general loud, annoying, and unneeded.

Having him on my friends list, I can confirm no. I hate micspammers, bronies or not. You deserved the ban and you shouldn't expect other people to client mute you simply because your idea of a good time is making people hear terrible quality often terrible music.
 
Sorry if I wasn't specific enough. What I was doing was playing songs anybody requested. I didn't hear any complaints until the admin logged on. If you'll notice the screenshot, when the admin says stop micspamming, everyone rushed to my defense without a complaint to be seen. I urge you to take a closer look at the links I provided. Thank you for your time.

Everyone just about covered all the grounds for the bans already - I just wanted to add that the admin who banned for a shorter timeframe is different than the admin who banned you. Admins here use their discretion when they ban somebody.

Also, I don't think the racist card works because "brony" isn't a race.

Someone complained or he wouldn't have known to join the server.
 
I was there. it's not like he was mic spamming the most annoying sound in the world and annoying people. Not one person complained about the music that he was playing. the music he was requested to play i might add. nobody even tried a vote mute cause to many people were enjoying the music. the only one who seemed to have a problem there was ruelel. i know it's against the rules but he should have just muted him. not ban.

"Whether anyone was bothered by it or not, he broke rules. The ban is justified."
 
While I agree that the length of the ban is way out of line, the current company of the server and their response isn't a valid excuse for breaking the rules.

I could spew racial slurs on US22 all day with no complaints, but I would still deserve a ban for it.

If you agree that the length of the ban is out of line, I would appreciate if you would rethink the time of the ban.
 
Give Ruelel a day and see how he feels about the ban length. Perhaps reassuring him it will never happen again lest you want a much longer ban wouldn't be a bad start.
