All the bronies I know (IRL, mind you) are trolls. They only use the show to troll other people, often mocking it more than not, yet still carrying around their plastic pink-pies on their backpacks. Kinda makes me think the entirety of bronies are like this (which lots of them seem to be...)

Why cant people act with love and tolerance by being themselves, instead of putting on a mask and pretending to be a cartoon character.
What is so wrong with who they are that they have to be something else just to express understanding of feelings.. repressed and full of childhood trauma is my hypothisis.
I suppose if it helps them get in touch with their true self then its good, but the thing is, are they going to have to wear the disguise for ever, will they ever be themselves?
 
It's not so much as pretending to be a cartoon character as holding yourself true to the ideals of said cartoon character, much as certain real people in your life may be your idols.

When done correctly, it is, anyway.

I'm not dressing up and acting as Trey Parker despite him being my idol. I don't create a fanbase where we all praise Trey Parker and make image macros, mods, remixes etc. based on him. I believe and strive after the same ideals as Trey Parker and use his material to inspire me. But I don't call myself a "broker" or "brey" because of it.

But it's not just about Trey Parker. It's about an entire show. An entire universe based on ideals we all love. And cosplay is another thing altogether.

You're 14, I say you're still way to old to be watching mlp. Its just not...right. It's like a 6 year old who watches and obsesses over the news. (Bad example, but you get my point)

I disagree completely that you can be "too old" to watch a show. I still watch Oswald whenever my little cousin comes over. Also Pingu and sometimes Bob the Builder.

Also I'm probably going to be flamed to hell over this but a certain person you all love has a blood covered dove and a massive pink unicorn. In real life.

I look up to great people in history, like Wernher von Braun. People who actually contributed to society. You dont see me running around dressed like Wernher, with plush rockets or whatever.

Maybe they do it so they can migrate to people like them. Abused as a child and forgotten by their peers.

Metalheads don't call each other "brotals" or shit like that. They don't consider themselves an ethnicity. They don't make mods in every game which replaces sound and models with metal band crew members. And best of all, metalheads can at least shut up about their obsession. You don't see metalheads everywhere trying to make people like metal

All Bronies are going to say one of these preset arguments with regards ANYONE saying ANYTHING bad about the show: "It's for ~ALL~ ages" or "You like X so you're just like me" or "Age doesn't matter!!11!!" or "well at least it has a good message!" or "it's better than something super violent!11!" or, my personal favorite, "You're never too old to stop watching shows for (little girls) kids". You could bring up the best argument in the world, all they'll say is, "ur a hater and u don't understand!".

The difference between you and me is while I come with civil counter-arguments you shove a pole up your cunt and scream once someone hasn't agreed with you within 3 posts.

Eh, you have a bit of a point there tomatketchup, but frankly the more I think about this I don't think it can be compared to much else. See, it is, quite frankly, very different. It's a very different show from what's been done till now. It's a very different kind of fandom from what's been done till now. It has sparked a huge fandom, in which you almost HAVE to take a side. So I can't really explain it, but I can say that a brony by any other name would be just as cool.

Edit: Oh, just ignore her would you? She's not worth anybody's time.
