Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:
Hello,
I am a regular Skial player and recently (about a month ago) your servers began to kick me from your servers. This is happening because my Internet provider might be using their own proxy to filter traffic. I am on ADSL.

Everything was fine earlier - server would warn me about the proxy and I could play. It seems that someone from my Internet provider tried to cheat and probably got many players banned.

I have checked my network settings and they show no proxy being used, which is why I am guessing that the provider is using a central proxy for all connections. My ping results are about 30-60 for your servers, which is confusing me because I realize proxies add some lag.

Please consider unbanning this proxy as I love playing on skial, which I am sure you can confirm by checking records from more than a month of two ago. Skial's servers are the only ones worth playing on recently. I thank you for, and value your efforts in curbing hackers, but in this instance you may have disabled access to several players from my country.

If your decision is to keep the proxy ban, I will of course agree but I, personally, will probably stop playing Team Fortress 2 because the service you provide was too good compared to other servers. I wish you the very best.

If you were just warned about the proxy then it sounds like you were meeting the criteria to be exempt before. Unless you just recently switched from a private Steam profile to a public one, I don't see why you aren't able to now.

It seems that someone from my Internet provider tried to cheat and probably got many players banned.
If that were the case and someone hacked on that IP, it'd be a linked-IP permanent ban. In this case you're just not meeting some criterion to be exempt from 10 minute proxy IP bans, or something is wrong with that system.

Either way, I linked Bott to this.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Yes, before the automatic kicking started the server would simply warn me. As for the profile, I am rarely making any changes to my Steam settings.

I have to admit I always suspected someone would hack on my provider at some point, and I would have to trouble you to re-evaluate the system.

I will patiently wait for your decision.

Our server will check how many hours you've played from your top game to make sure you aren't on a throwaway account.

For some reason it looks like it was receiving a 0 from steamcommunity.com yesterday, but I've manually checked it today and it correctly returns 1482.

It should be working for you right now.

You should tell your ISP to stop allowing people to change IPs so easily.

Update: it looks like steamcommunity.com shows a 0 for your all time games played if you haven't had any activity in the last 2 weeks.

Hi Bottiger,
thank you for your understanding in this matter. I will try to contact the provider and resolve the issue in some manner, but I am afraid it will be a futile attempt.

I am currently on Skial, everything is dandy. Thanks again.
