i was told someone from this ip (the xfinity wifi pool of random ip's) was hacking 4 months ago... when i logged on i got that banned ip

Yes. It's unusual Comcast is gives you a new DHCP lease every 24 hours. That's more of a thing when someone is tethering from their phone, or using a proxy.

Anyway, let me know when your IP is no longer 73.93.152.154 and I will unban you.
 
thankyou ill use my dsl to game then you can unban it - hopefully it will give me a new ip on my xfinity wifi nexttime

I just did some reading on Xfinity Wifi; it's more of a hotspot sort of thing? If so, that explains why you're regularly getting new IPs.
And yeah if you've got another way to connect with a different IP then let me know and we're set.
 
yea its my temporary high speed net connection till i move in a couple months - (no contract, you pay 50 bucks a month and i get about 3 meg down, better then my dsl thats 80k a second) I logged on today and had another ip - banning that IP is from the hunt group that im in, its randomly applied when i log on - that ip ban will randomly affect anyone using xfinitys wifi in my area, the person that was aimboting could just log on another day and have a new ip, no spoofing necessary.
 
You could try contacting comcast to see if there's any way they could give you a new IP. Some internet service providers do that

Asking for a new DHCP lease seems like a waste of time if you're getting a new one every 24 hours. Some ISPs will allow you to spend a little extra for a static address, but I don't think it's worthwhile. There may be some ways of prompting your router to give you a new lease faster than 24 hours but I'm not sure what methods work and which don't.
 
yea i can just make sure im not assigned that IP but to be honest the ban is pointless if all its going to do is ban the random skial user. I can make sure that its not my ip before i log on, no big deal but the ban itself is pointless since its a random hunt group.. like banning someone that's logging onto a starbucks :)
