Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:
Hello,

I found out through a friend that this is where I appeal my ban/communication block from Skial servers.

I believe that I should be unbanned/unblocked from Skial servers permanently because I have never cheated, nor do I even know how to cheat. I see that my account has been associated with a sibling's account, who is much younger than I am. I am 23 years old, and he is 12. If I would have known that I could be banned by letting him log into his account on my phone/me logging into his account on his computer because I needed my dose of TF2, I would not have done so.

This is my profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198121449078

I see that there are two other accounts listed for the ban of the IP address: 104.184.89.76

These accounts being: https://www.skial.com/sourcebans/index.php?p=banlist&advType=ip&advSearch=104.184.89.76

That IP address is associated with another individual's account that has been banned for hacking/cheating. I would not have associated my name with that IP if I would have known that he was cheating/hacking or that I would be banned.

My IP address is: 72.204.15.47
Also, my other regular WiFi IP address is: 192.168.0.104

I also play on my roommates computer, however, he does not cheat either. I am livid at the fact that "my little brother did it" is an AVID reason that I should be unbanned but won't be accepted. I would not go through all of this work to appeal my ban/block if I were not telling the truth. The only way I can prove it is by showing my actual IP address and pleading with Skial Administrators to please lift this ban. I only play on Skial servers, and I have always ALWAYS been an honest player. I don't understand how my sibling was cheating/hacking, nor do I care to understand it because it is his own stupidity for doing so.

However, my account, Save The Elephants, is not a cheating account nor do I have anything on my computer to even cheat with. I am an honest, clean player, and I have plenty of other users that can support this claim. A friend of mine, Too Many Famous Cats, (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198100162057) directed me in this direction after he spoke with a user named Meowcenary. There has been a huge mistake, and I will NEVER EVER let my sibling login on his Steam Account through my phone or computer, and/or vice versa. I hope this appeal sufficiently explains the HUGE mistake/misunderstanding that occurred in literally two minutes of my generosity to little the little hacker use my phone and me using his computer. I would not cheat, nor would I ever learn how to cheat. I didn't even know how to "Rock The Vote" until last week, which is quite sad, honestly. Please ban my sibling ALL YOU WANT for his ignorant choices, but I am pleading not guilty and begging your pardon from banning me. I only have positive and truthful intentions when playing TF2 on Skial servers, actually ALL servers. I don't know how else to explain this other than providing my IP addresses to show that I am not lying about simply logging in to my account on someone a computer that was already banned for hacking/cheating, and I had absolutely no knowledge of this. I am rambling on and on now, but this is because I truly enjoy playing on your servers.

I hate to throw the little guy under the bus, but, http://steamcommunity.com/id/MaxTheMasterMind

That is his profile. It shows he has multiple bans. I have had my account for almost two years now, and I have never received a ban until my account was associated with his IP address through an honest attempt to play a game like normal and not do any harm or malicious activity. Please, reconsider this ban/block. My appeal and my hope is all I have, and the only evidence that I have is what I have shared with you. I visited my family and should not have even touched his infected computer. I didn't know it was infected with cheats or hacks, though. And, it's even more sad to admit that my LITTLE brother knows how to do this when I just learned how to Rock the Vote and whatnot. I hope this appeal is taken seriously and truthfully, as I submit it with nothing but good intentions. Thank you for your time and concern regarding this matter. I hope to hear soon that I can play on your servers again.

Your connection history seems to corroborate your story. I'd prefer to see a public profile to get a better picture but I think I have a pretty good one. I don't think you'd drive from Fayetteville to Little Rock just to hack on an alt.

This ban wasn't because your brother used your phone to log in to his account (I'm assuming you mean steam mobile, not using it as a hotspot) or because you logged in to his account on his computer, this would be you connecting to our servers from YOUR account either from his computer or on his network. Next time you visit, don't get on TF2 from that connection. Actually, based on his multiple VAC bans, I'd stay off any game while there just to be safe.

Also FYI 192.168 IP addresses are local network IPs; everyone in the world connecting through a router has a 192.168 subnet IP. That's not what the rest of the world sees for an IP. If you're more curious about it you can google around for how routers work

I will unban your account, but don't connect from your brother's internet anymore. Future bans for connecting from that IP might be looked upon more suspiciously.

Good luck, have fun, and I hope to see you in a server soon!

EDIT: Oh and make sure your roommate doesn't ever cheat either, you are responsible for your connection and what happens on it, so anyone connecting from your router could get you in trouble. Always play from your own computer and your own connection.

OTHER EDIT: Don't be livid that "my brother did it" isn't usually accepted, you would not believe how many brothers/sisters/cousins/friends turn out to not exist. Next time you see your brother you might want to educate him a bit on how messing with cheats now will haunt him in his future gaming.

Fenix,

I genuinely appreciate your consideration and acceptance of my appeal. I cannot thank you enough for understanding what I am saying as genuine because I understand that I it is hard to believe a person you do not know or have never heard of before, until they are appealing their ban/block and during other situations. Now, I am understanding more about how it is my responsibility to know my connection when logging on to my account. I also thank you for understanding and believing that I would not drive from Fayetteville to Little Rock just to hack. I am happy to say that I have no knowledge on how to do so in the first place.

When you say, "Don't be livid that "my brother did it" isn't usually accepted, you would not believe how many brothers/sisters/cousins/friends turn out to not exist. Next time you see your brother you might want to educate him a bit on how messing with cheats now will haunt him in his future gaming." I completely agree with you. I should have made sure I clarified that I am livid at myself, not the Skial Administrators. I feel that the weird situations always happen to me, and the actual reason that it looked like I had hacks/cheats was considered invalid. I was simply worried that I would not be believed, and I was mad at myself for not knowing to ask before I use another person's computer.

I am livid at my little brother. I assure you that I have already scolded him for this, not that he will ever understanding or stop doing what he has done, but one can only hope that people who have cheated/hacked can see how many problems it causes and people it infuriates.

I will not ever use that connection to use/play TF2 or anything else for that matter. I have DEFINITELY learned my lesson as to how simple connectivity incompetence can seriously negatively affect my personal accounts and experiences. I will also make sure that my roommate is not hacking/cheating, but I am fairly positive he would not do so.

Also, I will definitely look up how routers work in order to expand my knowledge with regard to simple connectivity competency, and thank you for pointing out that everyone in the world has a local network 192.168 IP address. So, I have learned more than expected from this experience, and I am grateful for your time and understanding regarding this matter. Thank you for sharing your intelligence tips, as well, and I also hope to see you in a server soon because as soon as I send this I am logging on to play. :) Thanks, again, Fenix.

No worries, I didn't think you were livid at us, I just assumed it was at your brother  In the age of "anonymity behind a monitor" knowledge is power so I'm glad you'll be doing more to understand how your online interactions work. The more you understand, the safer you'll be.

One other tip for you, it might be a good idea to go here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/skial-admins and friend a few of us in case you ever have any troubles in a server or otherwise. We're always happy to help.
