Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:
(Okay before I begin, I'm really really sorry I couldn't link the specific commblock, I couldn't manage to get the link for that specific page so again sorry for that :/)

So apparently I was banned for an entire month for "racism" in chat. I'm assuming this is because I used the N word a few times, but here's the problem: I am African-American. It is unanimously agreed upon that African-Americans are allowed to say the N word. This also goes for white people being allowed to make fun of white stereotypes and use slurs directed at them, which also applies accordingly for other races (blacks can laugh at black stereotypes, and so on). Why it is exactly that this deserves a 30-day mute, I don't know, but I would be willing to hear why.
Now, here's the full story. At the time, I was being harassed by someone named Hackerman (his name was using special characters tho) because I used the votemenu. Hale was abusing an exploit, and since slay was on cooldown, I unfortunately had to resort to voteban. Then Hackerman started calling me a pussy in VC, called me salty because I died - without actually checking and seeing that I was, in fact, still alive - and so on. But the thing is, he too called me the N word at least once, as if he thought it was fine then. But when I said it, he said mockingly, "Uh oh, he called me the N-I-G-G-E-R word" (yes he spelled it out aloud) and this indirectly convinced everyone to report me. This, of course, succeeded, and from there everyone started making fun of me for it, especially him. So, I don't know why I should be muted and not him, but then again, that's what I'm asking about, so...
Then I chatted a little with the Hale in DM's, and now he and I are fine with each other. He said sorry for getting me the 30 day mute, I don't know why I'm telling you about this part, but whatever. Do with this info what you will, I guess.
Anyway, thank you for taking your time to read this mediocre appeal. Again, I'm sorry I didn't properly link my mute, but I'd be thankful if I could also be shown how to do that in the future, so thank you in advance for your help.

@Feral Angel

But I just want you to know that it doesn't matter what race you are, that has 0 bearing on what you are allowed to say in the server. Furthermore, it doesn't make sense to allow people to say denigrating things towards their own race, then anyone who's being racist can just claim they're that race and hence escape punishment.

It would be impossible for us to verify that each person is the race they claimed to allow them to say racial slurs about their own race.

You cannot prove to us that you are black unless you walk up to an admin IRL with proof of your steamid. Pictures and videos can be of someone else.

Why do you want to say it so badly? Is it really so hard just to not say it?

Y'all realize it's a BS/troll story. His Twitter has his lanky white skinned arm holding comics in pictures.

Go clip your nails btw OP.

As the others said, just because you claim to be a certain race doesn’t give you a pass to use those terms. Anyways, the reason behind the 1 month mute is because you don’t seem to learn from your mistakes. Yes, the 1 week silence was a little more than a year ago. However, a few days after your mute was expired you decided to use the n word again.
Also this doesn’t help you either...

Fair enough, I guess. But you say this was a few days after, although the log suggests that this was on Jan 30 2019, so I don't know what you mean when you say "a few days after your mute expired". Either way, though, I'd like to apologize for that. That was really pretty fucking stupid of me. It was my fault, I was an idiot, I got cocky, I paid the price. No excusing the fact that I said that.
But on that notion, I'd just like to ask, why so long? Like, I get that there would need to be some fairly significant length to it, but yikes, an entire month? I dunno, it seems a bit... extreme, I guess, if the most recent punishment for racism was about a year ago now. I just don't really think it should've been for that long. Like, maybe 2 or 3 weeks would be fair I guess, but 30 days seems like a bit much if you ask me.
Anyway, I'm open to know more about why 30 days was the length that was decided on. I'm sure there was a good reason behind it, so...
...yeah.

The standard punishment durations for silences on repeat offenses is 1 day --> 3 days --> 1 week --> 1 month --> repeat 1 month/2/3 months --> permanent.

You already received the 1 day, 3 day, 1 week, then another 1 day punishment (this one should have been 1 month already), and then finally this 1 month punishment.

The punishments stack so admins don't have to deal with hundreds of people forgetting the rules every week. It gives you some incentive to remember the rules. And if the length of a ban was comfortable to you, it means it wasn't long enough. The punishment is supposed to make you think twice about breaking the rules again.

Fair enough. So would this count as the first or second 1-month punishment?

Second but we typically just loop a month unless a major offense is done or the admins have to keep intervening. It's at that point, the punishment length is permanent.
