Suggestion to have the appeal process handled by a seperate moderator than the admin that applied the ban,
players should have their appeal taken by another moderator that's not judging their own decision making.
Especially because the appeal is DOA if the person handling it is the one that was privately messaged to get someone chat banned,
because of USAFMike's vicinity as a Friend with the admin Moofin to get preferential treatment, this is a conflict of interest and bias.
I don't expect them to overstep a fellow admin or comment on how this is a conflict of interest,
Or comment on how players with high notoriety and status could be abusing their close relation to an admin to get players banned.
This ticket is more to highlight how this is a closely knit community hierarchy that could use a separation of Discord Church & Skial State.
There's about 6 players that regularly use this website and one of the most prominent users Metroidz, even at a short glance apparently has a track record of harassing players on this website but since he is a donor he is given preferential treatment.
This isn't a call to have him punished.
It just shows that this then becomes somewhat of an echo chamber shielding players based on their close relation to admins.
This observable hierarchy likely won't change because of this post,
... but at least it will stand as a point of reference for other players to see why their differing cases may be taken with more or less severity based on whose toes you step on as evident by other posts on this site.
I expect USAFMike will reply with chatlogs wherein I poked fun at him for reporting someone else for words and his tendency to stay in spawn,
To make a distinction that I crossed his line,
Not that he speed dialed an admin in his friends list to get me muted, instead of making a report ticket, knowing he'd get speedy preferential treatment, or lied about an admin warning me to make it seem more egregious.
The distinction being made here is that a server hosting service officially endorsed / associated with Steam should probably have a more unbiased team of admins that can handle people regularly spamming the vote scramble stuff etc.
instead of being a personal on-call body guard for high status players that have their feelings hurt over a few messages about them staying in spawn, when donors get to say they f*** someone's mom in the a** to other users.
