I am a regular player on Skial US Turbine.

I talk on mic, never give anyone trouble. And I was suddenly talking to friends like normal and then all of a sudden, muted and gagged for 3 days.

I usually get people voting because I'm just a female and some people seem to have a problem with that, I guess you can say they are abusing the vote system, instead of muting in their options.

All I can think of, is I played a 4 second clip of Duran Duran - The Refex at some point (No longer than that, as I know it is classed as mic spam) I shouldn't have in the first place, but I had forgotten. But I'm sure it was after that, that I had got muted, as there was someone in the server that didn't take too kindly to me talking.

There was a lot of uproar on the server, people blaming other people for "Abusing" the vote system for muting me. I still stayed and played for an hour and a half after my mute/gag ban because I know I'd not done anything severe or anything to get vote muted/gagged for 3 days.

Where as you usually get someone who's constantly spamming the mic by rapping, or people being racist or sexist over the mic and nothing ever gets sorted with them.

If the mistake was made with the 4 second clip, I assure you that it won't happen again.​

Yeah uh, I played with you two days ago, that's not the issue. The issue is that people find you obnoxious. They're not abusing the vote system if you're micspamming.
 
Ye, Neeners has been a regular on turbine for well over a year with no problems in the past. I think the punishment is rather lesser to make a ban appeal for it, but I don't think you should have deserved a ban for it anyway.
 
I am also a pretty regular player on Turbine US and play frequently when Neeners is on as well. She is always quite friendly, and not one to abuse the mic. Is there a ban thread that we can reference to figure out exactly why this happened?

Being obnoxious is certainly no reason for a 3-day mute. There are many obnoxious people online, and Neeners has been a regular for a long time. I can assure you that many people do not in fact find her obnoxious. There are many considerably more obnoxious people on that server that have not been muted.
 
Considering it was going on long enough to open up console, type status, paste the SteamID, and type the silence command, I'm sure the clip was over four seconds. Although I'm not sure that matters, since I've never heard of a four second exception rule to micspam.

As for the other people you mentioned who are breaking rules, feel free to report them.

Ceubie, I've never seen you on the server before. So you are quick to judge.

I like to have a drink on the weekend and play with friends that are always there. And they can vouch for me. I'm quite friendly. I may come across as obnoxious because I stand up for myself. Because I get abuse for being a female, as do other females. I'm not the only one. So I say my piece and if they carry on, I just mute them.
 
Ceubie, can we not argue about this? We've had enough appeals go to shit recently.

Nurse, Daivd has responded, and said that micspam is micspam. I doubt he's going to unsilence you.

Fair enough.

I was honest and mentioned that yes, I did play a clip of a song, at least I was honest, and although it was probably more than 4 seconds, it still wasn't a full song clip and don't carry on with it. But mic spam is mic spam I guess, I'm not denying it.

And Ceubie, I'm not going to argue, but I don't live on forums because don't desire to be on them. And I only frequent the US Turbine server and have done so for over a year and a half now because I like it there. It may just be the time zones.

And I haven't judged you for anything.

If you have a problem with me, then just mute me/ignore me the next time you're on.

Otherwise, you don't need to say anymore that has nothing to do with this appeal.
