Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:

I got banned back in June 1st or 2nd. Few months back for SMAC 0.8.4.1: ConVar sv_cheats violation. I posted a appeal on forums a day after I got banned because I wasn't really sure what happened. And I came across a skial server saying I was banned (Completely forgot about this whole thing). Here's the link to that appeal http://www.skial.com/threads/ban-appeal.38792/​

I found another appeal from a few years back with the same Sv_cheat ban here http://www.skial.com/threads/banned-for-no-reason-please-clarify.27/​

I just want to know why I didn't get un-banned like he did, and how exactly I got banned for sv cheat if it's disabled on the server(I did have sv_cheat 1 on 2 servers before I joined skial)​

Also at the time I was playing on the server I chatted the first time after a few rounds and got banned not sure if that is relevant to this ban. But going a few rounds into a game to suddenly getting banned after chatting. Didn't seem right.​

Also I've been playing TF2 for while now and I havn't been VAC banned from TF2. Not sure if that means anything but If I was hacking I should have been banned by VAC long ago.​

but exactly how can this be fair, Never been Vac banned on this account, and All the other servers I played that day didn't ban me for Sv_cheat < Which is disabled on the server. Doesn't explain much only you won't unban me because it's a console ban. Knew this wasn't going to work even with all the Sv_cheat bans I see on this server still nothing wrong with the SMAC or what ever it is.

You were told why by takethepants.

You are correct if you just added sv_cheats 1 to your config it wouldn't do anything and you wouldn't be banned. This is SMAC detecting an external program modifying your game. There's been some issues with crazy mods in the past, but you were playing on a stock server, so yeah, we believe the system that runs on almost every community server for the past few years over what some person says.

Something that happened 2 years ago is so old it's irrelevant because there have been significant amounts of updates to SMAC since then.
