It's only 10 minutes but it happens now everytime I go into the server. I dont know how to use a proxy and have no use for editing/masking my IP. I dont, however have a static IP and i use adblock. It's the only thing that I can think of. I have over 1000 hours in TF2 on my steam account and my account is very public. http://steamcommunity.com/id/L4GiFail/ Don't know what else to do to make it stop happening, will do anything i need to, to get on the server. Help please.​
 
Are you perhaps connecting through a cellular hotspot or something that would make the server think you're using a proxy?
 
Sorry for not replying, stopped playing tf2 for a while and completely forgot about this. Yes, i have internet through Verizon and use a broadband router providing service via satellite that can be used anywhere. Like i mentioned before i dont have a static IP and it could fluctuate i guess. I thought according to the rules I would be immune to this though?

You seem to have connected today and on previous occasions just fine. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on this can help, but it appears that not all of the IPs you're given are blocked for "proxy ip."

Could you perhaps set your own static IP on an IP you've used previously or are currently using that doesn't get recognized as proxy IP, or has Verizon said that you cannot do that?
 
I haven't even looked into it, but i thought that trying to register for a static IP cost money? It still said 'Warning: Proxy Detected' when i loaded in the server.' I don't know, just dont want to get permanently banned for something I couldn't control at the time in question. I'll look into it, thank you.

Setting up a static IP should not cost you money. Try some of these websites: 1, 2

You need to set it up under one of the IPs you used previously that did not get blocked. I'll msg you a couple that are good. Actually, wait, I have a question. Besides your two 10 minute bans on the 10th, you connected and play several other times without getting banned. Did ALL of those times say "proxy detected," or only a couple times?
 
We do not allow Verizon Wireless ips because many hackers can just restart their phone to get a new ip, and that is in fact what they did.
 
Yeah, every single time. @Bottiger That's a shame, should I find a new server then? I really dont wanna cause any problems to the admins with my IP constantly setting off the proxy warning. I know it doesn't mean much coming from a random, but I've never used any form of aimbot or wallhack and never plan to. Half the time, I just use the server to idle and rack up seconds cloaked on my strange CnD. Either way is fine, lemee know what you all's decision is please.

I did though. Thats what i meant by 'the rules' and why i linked my account in the OP. Also have over 1500 hours in TF2, unless it means 10+ hours played on a skial server. In that case, I qualify for that as well being as I frequently played on one of skial's 100% crit orangex servers months ago and the idle server I've been playing on lately. I'm guessing if i can connect with my current IP and not instantly banned for 10 minutes, I should just stick with that IP? I did what RMSniper said and went through to set up a static ip. Still says 'Warning: Proxy detected' though.

What I said no longer applies. @Bottiger explained that all of your IPs, because they are Verizon Wireless, will be detected as proxies.

Alright so, what are my options then? I'd really prefer not to be banned from skial because of my isp. I'm currently connected to 104.153.105.93:27015 bottiger's idle, but didn't get 10 minute banned. I figured it was more of a built up thing. More proxy warnings = banned for 10 minutes.

I don't want to speak for Bottiger, but I believe you'll have to change ISPs if you'd like to play here.
 
I can't change isps since I live out of town; I wouldn't be using Verizon if I didn't have to. Ah well, what a shame. Sorry for taking your time and causing any problems, I'll go find a different server then.
