Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:Someone asked how to become a better player, so I made a joke to them about using cheats to get good. A ban was really not called for.
If I were to actually advertise cheats in TF2, which I wouldn't, it would have been more blatant and obvious. Clearly I was not being serious. And I know it would not have been tolerated.
Not everyone is by default a bad guy. I know it's easy to label people, and it gives a rush when someone feels like they've locked down a problem. I assure you, I am not a cheater, nor was I in any way, shape or form truly suggesting the other person uses cheats to become a better player. This was clearly a misunderstanding. I'll be sure not to make any jokes in the future since some clearly can't handle it.
Consider training your admins to:
1) Tell the difference between someone joking and someone actually advertising.
2) Give warnings prior about not vocally advertising cheats. A warning was in order but never issued. Instantly issuing a permanent ban over such a petty conversation makes me wonder how many innocent people this admin has banned. Consider doing an investigation of this person for abuse of privileges and take the necessary actions to correct their behaviour if need be.
