I would like to appeal for my Mute to be taken down as the result of an unintentional event that happened.

I did the /votemenu and was planning to voteslay myself as a joke as I've done this many times before.

Thing is, I accidentally pressed the wrong number and unintentionally happend to have pressed the number that belonged to the current Hale so it was like it came across as a "Ragevote"

I was given a little notice of not to do it again by TapTap although without a warning or anything, I was given a direct mute that said "1440 minutes" so I agreed to deal with that mute and obviously I wasn't aware it was permanent and I only found out earlier.

I know this might be commonly said but I apologize for my actions and will be less careless on /votemenu activity.​
 
Sounds fair, I didn't think it'd count as abuse to others (only abuse to yourself) But I'll stop doing that if the mute does get lifted in the end.
 
The reason why it is still vote abuse is because calling a vote blocks legitimate votes from going through and blocks people's number keys from working.

People have purposefully abused this before.

After a thorough investigation and input from another admin, I decided not to lift your comm block.
Reasons are as follow:
  • Your past offenses don't make it seem like it was an accident. You also have a previous vote abuse silence on record.
  • Your side of the story is incoherent. It was impossible to actually hit the wrong number and it turning out to be the hale. It's a 1 in 32 chance.
  • To me it seems that you were doing your best to actually get yourself banned. These lines from your chat a few minutes before getting silenced, specifically:

As an answer to what you stated in your appeal:
  • "With no warning": I had already silenced someone for somewhat the same thing a few minutes before you did the same.
  • As stated by Bottiger, it is still abuse, and you admitted to doing so.
