Ho Ho Holy Shit Ur Bad started badmouthing people on the server; I filed a single vote to mute him, which failed. When the vote failed, people agreed that they should have muted him, and he became more inflammatory. I said that the vote would be recast when allowed now that I knew people wanted him banned, and I was muted before I could even cast the second vote. Passing one vote and saying that I will cast a second (when the server is in favor) is hardly votespamming.

It's also worth noting that I have no other infractions on Skial or any other TF2 reputation site.​

Is vote abuse calling a single vote? Especially when more than half the server voted "yes" on the mute option before it got as hostile as it did, I don't think that's that bad.

That's also pretty out of context... shame you can't hear all the inflammatory remarks on voice chat before I typed that. (I have no mic and as such can only respond in text)
 
using vote silence or vote ban to get someone you dont like silenced or banned is vote abuse
 
I didn't abuse anything. Someone started harassing me and other players on the mic unprovoked. "Neckbeard", "fag", etc. I voted to mute him, the vote failed, but not by much. There was a single vote. If you're going off of the text chat alone, you're getting one side of the story. The other players on the server will give you the same story.
 
Being offended isn't the point. If someone is being belligerent to multiple players on the server, the votemute solves the issue. There was a reason 52% of votes were yes. I could understand if I had done it 3, 4, 5 times... but one failed vote on an inflammatory player and I'm muted for a full day?
