Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:
I was automatically banned by the console and I don't understand why this is the case. The console says 'SMAC 0.8.5.0: ConVar sv_cheats violation' so I assume it was because SMAC thinks I was hacking or something but I don't agree with that.
You have a VAC ban on your account that's almost two years old. If you hacked once then what's to stop you from doing it again and getting caught now?

Black Ops 2 uses the VAC system for banning hackers and players who join modded lobby's. I just so happened to join a modded lobby and actively partake in the festivities the modder had to offer. As a direct result of that I got banned from Black Ops 2; Which in turn, wondrously gave me a VAC ban on my account.

Sorry, I cannot post a picture or a link of 'The following games are affected:' yet due to needing a second post in order to do so.

Here is a picture to confirm that I was indeed banned off of Black Ops 2.

As someone who also has a VAC ban, I don't really think this is a fair conclusion. My VAC ban was due to a stupid, spur of the moment decision and I've not tried to do it again. I realized how stupid it was and I've ever kept the same Steam account so I can see my VAC ban every day as a reminder not to do it again. Just because you have a VAC ban doesn't mean you're the scum of the Earth.

After a little more digging into your case I have found more than just the VAC ban that raises suspicion. On the your IP, only two accounts have ever connected from it, you and this person who tripped SMAC by hacking on Skial. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/[U:1:161356411]
It's pretty apparent that this account is a throw-away made for hacking as indicated by its poor hlstats http://stats.skial.com/stats/hlstats.php?mode=playerinfo&player=5654245, it doesn't have an avatar, it only connected to Skial once before SMAC caught it, and it is set to private. I do appreciate that you cleared up the VAC ban but now we have another issue. Even without the VAC ban I still would be hard pressed to unban you or the IP since there is no information to indicate that you didn't hack on this throw-away account.

This ties in with Black Ops 2. When I got banned off of Black Ops 2 on my main I bought another copy of the game for another account so I could continue playing it. Since that's cleared up, it would be prudent to also clear up why I tried connecting to Skial servers on both of my accounts. Firstly, before the time and day of the banning, I was playing Black Ops 2 so when I got off of it and one of my friends on Skype asked me to join his TF2 server I automatically booted TF2 up via desktop icon and proceeded to join one of the Skial server's via 'connect [insert IP here]' he was in. To my complete and utter dismay I was SMAC banned. Then I remembered I wasn't on my main account since I never bothered to log off of my Black Ops 2 account. With this realization quickly dawning on my, I promptly informed my friend I would connect through my main and try to play with him again. Nevertheless my main also got banned so here I am, refuting my ban. As you can see, this is a series of unfortunate events.

My bad, I forgot to add this to my previous post (sorry for double posting) but my account is now public for all to see. So if you want proof that I do indeed have Black Ops 2 on my account, then look no further into checking out my account, again.

Your initial account was tripped by SMAC for having a modification that activated sv_cheats when you joined the server. Simply leaving Blacks Ops 2 open while booting up TF2 doesn't cause this. It had to have been something else.

Honestly, it's an error on SMAC's part because I joined other servers with SMAC on it, after the incident, and I've never been banned since.

But the problem with this is that we have no way of knowing if that's actually true. Just because you didn't set off SMAC at one time doesn't suggest that you have never used a hack before when you set it off prior. SMAC is an accurate program that is trusted by many communities including ourselves because it's parameters for detection are tight. We have tested this program by trying to set it off without actually using cheats in the past and have been unsuccessful so far, so you can understand why we trust it and why we usually don't question it. Since this appeal has boiled down to a case where it's your word against the program's, I'm going to have to deny your appeal since there is no evidence to suggest that SMAC was incorrect in this case. I do however appreciate your polite attitude that you carried throughout the appeal, we don't see that often here.

Dammit! I was really hoping I would get unbanned for I could join my friends in one of your many lovely Skial servers. This is the reason why I made this ban appeal. At this point and time it seems there is nothing I can do to get unbanned due to your infallible trust in SMAC. But, nonetheless, thank you for your time.
