Invalid Appeal: Caveman

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.
I watched you sit in spawn for several minutes on DB+LA standing idle for almost a minute before you'd walk a little or do something to avoid the AFK bot taking over your character repeatedly, or you'd just run around spawn rapidly switching weapons. I warned you in private chat to play or let the AFK bot take over, and this seemed to spur you to dick around in spawn even more by running around rapidly swapping weapons, then you switched from scout to pyro and ran around spawn swinging your melee weapon. This is not the first time I've had to punish you for bypassing the AFK manager/dicking around in spawn as noted here: https://www.skial.com/threads/appeal-caveman.63257/

If you tell me you understand you need to be either playing or letting the AFK bot take over, I will reduce your punishment with the understanding that next time there will be no leniency as this is the second time this has been an issue.
 
That is incorrect, I think you may have banned the wrong person.

I will tell you exactly what I did when I joined, I joined on Red stage 3 dust bowl, and ended quickly then blu stage 1 dust bowl which I was inside spawn talking to 'Vegan' player about vegan diet about protein balance for vegan bodybuilders, next thing I know I got banned.

I reconnected right away 4 times right after the ban proving I was not afk, then I posted on these forums.
There is a glitch in the program or something, I do not reserved a 3 day ban for doing absolutely nothing.
 
If you want to talk to another player that's fine, do not run around spawn doing nothing for your team while you have your conversation. I know what I saw, and I warned you in private chat as well. There is no confusion as I spectated specifically you.

Here's the bottom line: If you want to have a conversation that is fine, talk away. Do not sit in spawn and run around doing basically nothing while you have it. Either play and have your conversation during your dead times, type "!afk" and let the AFK manager take over, or sit idle for 1 minute and let the AFK manager take over. You running around spawn as a scout rapidly switching weapons, or being a pyro running around swinging your powerjack while you have your conversation does not help your team.

If a player is sitting in spawn, being friendly, or generally not helping their team it takes up a server spot that could be utilized by a person in the queue who actually wants to play. This is why we have the rule against friendlying and/or not helping advance your team's position.

If you tell me you understand this, and the fact you need to play or let the AFK manager play for you while you have a converstaion, I will reduce your punishment.

Scout I rarely play, and pyro I never play. I was playing engy and demo before I got banned, and I do not recall seeing any message for you. I played maybe less then 5mins before I got banned off the servers, so I am so confused in this whole situation since I think you have the wrong person.

You may rarely play those classes, but you do play them. You can see here when you switched to scout, and although it doesn't show anything you did nothing for 4 minutes after you killed Supple Leopard, which is very unusual for a blue scout, you most likely would have had a kill or been killed. This is the point I watched you messing around in spawn. You then switched to pyro, I watched you mess around for another minute before I got fed up.

Private messages are hard to miss, they come up in bright green. Despite all this I will remove your ban with the understanding next time there will be no leniency. You acknowledge that you need to be playing instead of sitting in spawn, even if you're having a conversation. It's a struggle we all juggle, having meaningful conversations while trying to play TF2. If you want to focus on a conversation and not your play, all you have to do is type "!afk" in chat and the manager will take over a couple of seconds later. If you just sit there and don't move for one minute the manager will also take over.
