Invalid Appeal: Andreas

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.
Why do we have to expressly say in the rules you can't have the image of one of the most hateful, oppressive, genocidal political parties in history on our servers? That should be common sense! That symbol is never OK anywhere. You're not being funny or edgy, you're not "just trolling" or whatever other excuse you might have to try to rationalize it.

I'm going to let @Feral Angel decide this because if it were up to me I'd deny based on pure ignorance.

Oh and if you want the part of our rules it applies to, how about the "other discrimination" section. If you don't know who the nazis discriminated against go look it up and educate yourself. Maybe you'll get an idea why that symbol should never be used anywhere.
 
As Fenix said, it’s common sense to why we don’t tolerate it. Go ahead and re-read the rules again and promise to never have it on. If you are caught with it again, I’ll put back the ban.

I wasn't trying to imply that it should be expessively stated in the rules, and yes I am aware of the people the nazis killed and of which 6 million where jews, thank you veru much.

But...

It was stated in the rules that "Any persistent discrimination based on gender or religion is not allowed. What qualifies as persistent will be determined by an admin". In my recollection I haven't said anything discriminatory towards any group of people and haven't treated anyone grossly, and in my oppinion a couple of simple pins displaying swastikas doesn't count as "persistent".

But with that said thank you for the quick reply, and i'll let Feral Angel decide my fate.

I’m going to go ahead and leave the ban. You seem to be uneducated if you believe having the swastikas isn’t doing any harm. The history behind it is horrible.

Alright, obviously whatever you decide is final, i won't refute that. But does my opinions about the swastika really matter as long as i do as i'm told and stop wearing it?

And does it have to be a perm ban? Can't you just give me ban for a period of time istead, as a sort of slap on the wrist? Also because it's a first time ban.

It is your place to comment on a public thread if you feel so, and i am welcoming to discussion. I think i quite adequately showed in my first reply towards Feral that i understand the rules and won't be wearing it again. I don't see the problem with me disagreeing with the rules, just as long as i follow them. Not my servers not my rules, i completely understand that. But not being able to discuss what the rules entail in any way just seems plane dumb to me.

No i wouldn't wear a swastika in public, for i am not part of the nazi party, and i personally don't find the need to deliberately offend anyone. I do think people would get offended by it, but i don't think it would be wrong for someone to wear it. Personally if i saw someone wear one, I'd likely assume the person is an asshole and that i wouldn't like that persons company very much. Someone being offended is great. It's a sign of a society were people can be different with different opinions, and one i would choose to live in.

You might be right about me just making it worse for myself. I don't think I'll apologize for wanting to start a simple discussion, stating that i disagree.
