So based off the ban date, it's been three years. I myself never actually hacked. A relative of mine was on the same connection as mine when I was a kid and decided to do so. Then I tried connecting, and BAM. I was banned from my favorite server for "ban evasion".

I know that's a stereotypical story, but that's all I have and I feel like even though I didn't hack myself, three years is more than enough from my favorite server. Thanks for reading, and sorry for any errors in my OP.:grinning:

We don't fall for the 'my relative did it' excuse

Even if you were telling the truth, we have no way of confirming your story and even if we did believe you we would still have to keep the IP address banned to keep the hacker from returning.

So either way the ban is going to stay

Alright, I see the problem of not being able to verify my anecdote. But, you can't excuse every similar anecdote as an "excuse". As it's not the case that every person who says their relative got them banned is false. That's a faulty generalization.

Also, you face the same problem as I do. You can't prove that the account that hacked is mine. Nor did I ever admit it was mine. Just that we had the same connection at one point. That alone isn't enough evidence to suggest I hacked.

It doesn't matter if it was you or not, if ANYONE hacks on your IP, every account connected to your IP is banned permanently
