Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:
I was blocked for being "friendly" which until today, (after years of frequenting the same Skial LA 2fort server), is news to me.

I had a warning after mentioning a dance party, to which I corrected myself in chat to "War Party" after receiving a friendly warning. That was responded with a ban which is incredible. Assuming the rules had changed I navigated to the rules page (https://www.skial.com/threads/server-rules.136/) only to discover there's NO friendly rule there? So what exactly was I banned for?

I've participated in loads of "friendly" parties over the years and they've all been totally fun and totally okay I've never heard anyone mention they weren't allowed and I can't imagine why not on a 2fort map which is basically never-ending because nobody is ever focused on objectives (let's be honest). Beyond that why is emoting with the other team (i.e dancing or hifiving) even allowed if that's the case? It's all just a little bit of fun until someone comes in to mow the whole party down and we all go back to killing each other.

In all honesty I'm just looking for some clarity because I'm incredibly annoyed.

To add to what KinCryos said you're allowed to friendly on the trade and idle servers all you want. But in the 'normal' TF2 Skial servers friendlying can cause some other people to leave because they don't want to see half their team congaing in the 2fort sewers. The majority of people come on the servers to kill stuff and friendlies can be detrimental to their fun which is why we ban them.

I told you to stop friendlying but you went on about doing a 'war party' and you kept staying in your taunt so I had to ban you

If you understand now friendlying is not allowed and if you agree to stop I can lift the ban

I can understand that. You should probably drop the 'extended period of time' for clarity because there was nothing "extended" about the length of time from my comment to ban, there were a handful of blues (my team) doing the same dance as me and none of those were banned either.
If prolonged taunting isn't allowed you should probably add that to the rules too and I use "prolonged" loosely because the whole ordeal lasted for a maximum of 5 seconds.

I didn't realise it was such a masssive deal so I corrected myself, not to be a smartass but I thought "war dance" would get me in less trouble because the mod warning took me by surprise and is a little intimidating for such a small thing. In all my years of playing, dicking around on that specific server has never landed anyone in trouble and it's very surprising. It's fast respawn 2fort, nobody is ever playing it seriously it's just mindless killing and fun - if this were occuring on a payload map I'd be a little more understanding for obvious reasons.

I can wait out the rest of my 1 day ban. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

While it is just 2fort which is practically a deathmatch map on Skial servers friendlying still discourages other players. You may not see it yourself, but I often get reports via steam from players who are annoyed by some guy friendlying which is taking up a server slot from people who want to play and its annoying to those people seeing dead weight teammates congaing around the map while his team gets destroyed.

You're completely free to friendly on trade and idle and there's non-competitive servers like Lazy Purple's friendly servers https://steamcommunity.com/groups/LazyPurple

But if you decide to keep friendlying on Skial servers you'll keep getting banned and those ban lenghts will continue to increase until they are permanent

2fort servers are some of our worst servers when it comes to rulebreaking. I end up having to clear up friendly parties there every other week, and I'm constantly being called in there to take care of friendlies and other people breaking the rules.
