On jailbreak, when you are a guard, 1 minigun BULLET does 40 damage at moderate range. This should be nerfed, because it makes mass free killing very easy.
MY TOPIC WAS EDITED AND I FEEL VIOLATED

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
I didn't change minigun damage for jailbreak. There must be a better solution to prevent free killing.

If I reduce mini-gun damage then it might become useless.

Also I think it is poor solution to manually reduce the damage of each new weapon that valve comes up with in case it happens to be an inconvenience in Jailbreak.

As much as I hate mass free killing jumping to the conclusion of nerfing classes to avoid it is a little extreme in my opinion. You'd also have to end up nerfing stickies, pyro's can also have a fairly easy time at mass free killing, a sniper at a distance especially on the minecraft map can pick off quite a few people, a demo's grenade launcher in a cluster of people can be devastating, so on and so forth.

The only class I can't see being able to slaughter quite a few people before being killed or voteslayed is a Spy, medic, scout (who can still easily kill classes with nothing more than melee, it just takes him a tad longer) and engineer.

Nerfing their core class abilities for the sole purpose of preventing mass free killing would cause balancing issues. Either the melee would have to be nerfed further or they would have to be compensated in another way if balance is to remain.

So -1 from me

There needs to be another way to prevent free killers.

Maybe access to a vote that prevents them from being a guard or a penalty based on how many kills you have?

Not sure how effective something like this would be in TF2, but when I regulared a CSS jailbreak server a couple years ago they ran a plugin that instantly slays a warden who kills a overwhelming amount of people in a very short amount of time.

It surprisingly very very rarely slayed someone who wasn't free killing and heavily deterred mass free killers from wiping out entire teams.

I'm for having your chance of being warden based on how many kills you have.

It would also discourage people from trying to kill all of the blu in the beginning of the round.

What's a good number of kills per minute do you think?

Maybe remove people from playing as guards if they kill more than 3 people in a couple seconds. This could backfire though on guards who are killing rebelling prisoners.

The best solution I can think of is having an admin on constantly.

Are you volunteering? :troll:

*cough* Grima *cough*

Not to go off topic, but ladypimp foradmin #jailbraik

Altought perma admin lookover would solve everything, it's inpossible to have a server covered 24/7, skial has other servers to handle.
Also, the problem with "if you kill 4 people in a short ammount of time" could be that if you team up with 3 friends, the warden can't kill you if you try to kill him.

12/7 mod support is the best solution I think. I say 12/7 because it's usually not as active from early hours to noonish.

Most active around 3 pm est to some other time. At around 4 i think it was at 30 people.
EDIT: also kids who get butthurt after you kill them (as blue) because they arent following orders proceed to vote slay you for the next 1000000 rounds. Possible vote ban also.
