Need Help An auto-bumper bot for donor trade threads

I figured that another perk we could offer to our donors would be a tool that lets their trade threads get auto-bumped, similar to the way TF2Outpost has auto-bumping for donors.

I have no idea how this could be implemented, but I figured that a bot account could automatically post to the donor's thread to bring it back to the top every X minutes. To prevent it from cluttering up a thread, it could also delete its last post in that thread, so you'd only ever see one bump.

Or even maybe just a forum plugin that would somehow move that thread to the top of the list. Maybe by adjusting the timestamp of the last post or something. I dunno.

I realize this would be quite a feat to code, but I figure I'd throw this idea out there. I figure surely somebody out there would be willing to throw a few bucks our way for this feature, alone.

Thoughts? Anybody up for coding such a plugin?

It doesn't auto bump, but it makes it so you don't need to post. I'm thinking there should be a limit though if it auto bumps. Like it will be auto bump for 3 days at most or if the thread is marked closed.

Well, I mean if some people are going to bump, but aren't in the "recent trade threads" section, then they'll be overshadowed, heck if there's a lot of donors, there's gonna be a lot of competition.. which.. now that I think about it, makes sense since it's a market.

Luckily Skial isn't a cesspool of the hoards of lowballers, so we don't get anywhere near that amount of traffic.

I think this idea would bring more traders to the forums, also might give extra cash towards servers.
Perhaps a limited amount of 'bumps' per donation, or else you are just going to see those donators with the longest running threads always on first page, which will push new sellers to the forum down the list, and may give them no reason to continue trading here. another option is traders can bid to have their shop in the sticky secion of trading. say 5-10 sticky slots available in the first page of every trading subsection, which traders make an offer to have for the month/3months etc.
