i know there was a thread i made a while back but i cant find it and i just got added because this guy couldnt report micspammers through /report

Yes, sorry to add you out of the blue but it was out of control and we couldn't get a votemute passed. Thanks for the swift response.
 
I'll put my +1 here, as the old post is a couple months old at this point. If it's against the rules, it's against the rules. I shouldn't have to client mute for a clear rule violation. I client mute for people who annoy me, not intentionally spam mic, they're different problems that should be handled differently. It's interesting how some things are "well it's against the rules. Period. So we ban/silence" and others are more "well it's against the rules, but why doesn't the player just do this instead of reporting it". It's clear from the last post that pretty much everyone favored having mic spam added to the report menu, I'd like to think that meant something. Yeah, I have admin on my friends list and can get them, and I that's usually what I do for most situations. Not everyone does though, so they shouldn't be s.o.l. because of that.

Why are you so grating to pretty much everyone mittens? Even when someone is trying to suggest positive changes to the way things are done here you treat them like they're idiots trying to appeal a hack ban "because my brother did it". Being even a smidge friendly wouldn't hurt considering you volunteered for this.

Haha, I agree fully. I just don't get why he'd want to do this if almost every aspect of it pisses him off to such a degree that he's never remotely pleasant to anyone. Why would you volunteer for something that aggravates you? A masochist maybe ;)

No, I know. I'm referring to what I've seen of you in the forums, as well as you presented the fact that he already made the post in a somewhat dickheaded way. I don't think I've ever seen you in a good mood, towards anyone really. Even if they haven't acted in a way deserving of being treated like they're an asshole. Just an observation I've made, nothing more. If I'm wrong about that, I apologize. That's just what I've seen of you :D.

EDIT: This comes from not just your dealings with me, but reading how you talk to other people on other topics. No, I don't expect you to just agree with a suggestion that's been made before. But saying "It took me 2 seconds using search... but ok" is being a dick when you don't need to be. Ruelel acknowledged he made another post but couldn't find it, you don't need to be a dick and say "well I found it no problem". So you didn't simply point it out, you pointed it out by being an ass. Why did you volunteer to be an admin if it aggravates you so much? Most of what I've read from you has you coming across as being imposed upon to do something. That's a genuine curiosity I have.

You are wrong. And you're just basing this your own experience of making already-been-done suggestions. What do you want me to say? "Oh Ruelel what a wonderful suggestion but hey there buddy you've already made the exact same thread" ??? No I simply point out that it already exists. I cannot help your perceptions.

And stop going off topic because now you're making me go off topic.

On Topic: Anyway, I didn't respond to whatever the last thread was, but if votes don't pass, then I think it should be an option in !report, instead of forcing the user to pick a more serious reason. Especially since most people don't have any admins on their friends lists.

Ruelel saves the day again, but we would really like to be able to report these fools for mic spam. Would make everyone's lives a little easier.
