Description:

I was reporting a micspammer when Sypher said he was scammed a few days back on a skial server. He added me for help and here I am now.

Said the alleged Scammer was saying he was an Admin and was duping items for free. He agreed. Traded. And immediately was blocked by the alleged scammer.

I do NOT have any screencaps of the trade chat or the Skial logs because after a search I found out it wasn't done on skial servers, but I was given the Screencaps of his trade history before and after the incident.

DanHack: first tell me how exactly you got scammed
SyphertheFox: i was in a Trade Server, Phantoful was running around as a Heavy in a Scout Skin, which you know that only Admins can do that, but also Admins can only use Godmode which everyone could in that server, so it was a Trade_Plaza, i will have to look it up again, but he was going around then he ran over to me and asked me if i wanted any items "duped" and i said "sure" but before he said anything he said "You can trust me, i'm an admin" ...then when we were trading i put up like 18-19 items into the trade then i asked him to make sure he wasn't scamming me and he said "no i'm not scamming you, i'm an admin, why would i scam you" so i accepted the trade and gave him all of the items then he left the server, blocked all communication with me, and never came back online ever since he scammed me

I do have a feeling that not much can be done about this but I do want to help him out if he really got scammed. If theres some way to get more proof to support his claim please do add in. Sypher should post here to confirm this report as well as answer any questions by the mods admins and regs.

Please no "LOL u so dum for falleng for a dupe glitch" or etc as chances are we all got scammed for worse reasons.

There's not enough information to prove that he was actually advertising to dupe items. From the trade history, all you can see is that he traded a bunch of items over to him.
 
I'm gonna be happy when I get my items back, hopefully we can take this dude down, as you can see I got real proof, it was taken inside of the game with the hacker.

well it only took around 10 minutes to find that info (which i dont consider that much time) and i figured i might as well post it here in case anyone was wondering why the items werent in phantoful's inventory. and as for the links it didnt take that long to just do a find and replace for all the punctuation marks in the links and add a few spaces.
 
This is a crisis, if that hacker got a hold of Phantoful's account, then he could damn well get a hold of anyone's account!

Not really, he just either gave his login details away, or clicked a phishing link.
 
Well I was just scammed by him http://steamcommunity.[dot]/id/Phantoful THE TRADE http://steamcommunity.[dot]/profiles/76561198028645314/inventoryhistory/ I was tricked by his duping scam, He duped my meet the medic taunt, and scorch shot, and said Hell might aswell do more. Well Im stupid for doing that but I want my items back or aleast something. After he scammed me, he blocked me. After a few minutes, I joined the server he was on, and he I asked him again [server text box] what the hell was he doing then he disconnected and made his profile private. Im guessing he is breaking the VAC aswell since he can dupe, [It works]. Im new to reporting, but you can check his bp history on tf2items[dot[com for evidence. Yes, I am creating a thread about this scam.
