+1. He's being perfectly reasonable, and having a politically incorrect sense of humor does not make him unfit for the position by any means as long as he remains professional on serious ocassions, which he is proving he can right now. He seems like a fine guy who wants to have fun and does it in the right place imo.

Not asking regulars for support doesn't mean he isn't serious enough, and two weeks isn't a long time so you shouldn't expect much unless you constantly ask people to support your application. The forum regs are enough if they have a good enough apps. Although it immensely helps your chances to get server reg support. +1

Took me about a month for my app was even considered plus we had the holidays so i think its fair to give him more time, would like to see more reports from you tho bear !

If you're accusing multiple people of cheating and not collecting evidence / reporting any of them afterwords, I don't want you as an admin.

It's criticism. You need to be able to take it.
It's all people look for on apps because it needs to be determined whether you are fit for the job, and people will point out the bad stuff for the other voters if they dont like it and good stuff if they do like it.

Yes of course, but once again we come back to the point I made in one of the very first posts of this thread. It's not easy to take simple text without context and fully understand what the situation was at the time.

Especially since I join the server to have fun with others, and would continue to do so if admin was ever awarded.

You seem like a responsible and cool person, but I think they're looking for people who don't mind going out of their way to record a demo to get rid of the aimbotter for more than just 30 minutes. As a player, it's not your "job", but most admins I know had gone out of their way in the past to make reports and collect evidence when needed.

It's very easy to take text out of context, but it's plain to see that you hadn't lifted a finger against them, aside from voting on someone's /votemenu. You kind of need to figure out how to prevent yourself from getting lost in the other admin apps, because you're sinking.

Well I always tend to spectate if I see something suspicious, and I've posted demos and reports on here before. On this occasion I didn't have much time to play, so didn't want to waste it.

Kinda funny because I see another admin app with a lot of +1's but that person had zero reports/demos prior to applying. Not that there is anything wrong with that, because I don't believe that it defines how capable a person is at being a good admin.

It's not just my job though is it? There are plenty of other capable people and I only had 30 minutes to play.

Please could a moderator close this thread. Too many pretentious people on here who think they know best. I thought I was applying to help a community, not applying for a super serious job where all fun must end once you become an admin.

Like I said before, I'm not here because I desperately wanted to become admin. I was here to help out, but people here (who are already TF2 admin's funnily enough) seem to be super unfriendly and totally pretentious.

I'll just continue playing with the homies on Dustbowl+ EU server, but I hope that another regular there is awarded admin in the future to prevent some of the recent problems. I was applying to fill that void, but if it's not me there are plenty of other super capable and friendly people who can fill it. :blush:

The reason I'm applying again is because I believe that having an admin on the Dustbowl+ EU server during the peak times (which is when I always play) will become useful due to all the problems that can occur on there. For example, right now there is a user called Norman Bates (see here, here and here) who keeps creating new accounts, all under the same name, to bypass a permanent ban for wall hacking and using an aim bot. It can be really frustrating when people are hacking during a game because the threshold for temp bans are so high so there is nothing people can do usually. From your application your saying you want to be admin to handle people like norman bates but yet your saying you do not want to record demo's as its not your job?

These are some of the qualities we would like to see in an admin.

Willing to help people on the other servers too.
Actively trying to participate in the community.

The above is from the Sectrion "How we pick admins" so i question if you are doing that for the correct reasons, going to be active with your admin duties if they was granted and record demos
