I honestly love playing on Skial servers because of the anticheat/admin team. It's so lovely to not have to constantly be as paranoid as you would be on a Valve server or something of the sorts.

I also have a YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/c/maxboxofficialmaxbox) and a Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/officialmaxbox), and I would be more than happy to do most of my recording/streaming on Skial servers, as to lightly advertise and introduce any newer TF2 players to the servers.

I have a few seasons of Comp experience under my belt, along with the "Spot the Hacker" series, so there's no danger of me banning people left and right just because they did something that seemed a little off. I don't know if it 100% applies but I'm currently on my second Soldier donator status, and enjoying it thoroughly.

Apologies for the low play-time, I certainly plan on upping that number considerably in the coming weeks/months.

I'd like to point out MaxBox is/was an avid lmaobox user who used to upload his hacking videos to youtube. I saw them before but he set them to private since they're no longer on his channel and a quick google search confirms that, there's some reddit links to his once public videos which returns a 'private video' error now.

I heard he also streamed his hacking videos but I'm not sure if that part is actually true, but that aside his youtube channel was riddled with videos of him hacking.

So it's a obvious -1 from me. I really don't think having a massive public hacker as an admin is good for skial's image

This was a very long time ago, and since then I have done everything I can to make up for the fact, by doing giveaways, donating to ToTH, and trying to teach people how to spot cheaters. I don't know where you could have possibly heard that I streamed my cheating videos, but I don't deny the fact that I used to cheat. If anything, that could be a benefit, as I know what to look for specifically. I also don't try to hide it, but obviously I'm not going to leave the cheating videos up, as I hope you understand.

If there's any more info I can give or anything of the sort, let me know/

He was being slightly racist, and the report went through (even if it was only a 1 day silence). I understand that my hours are low, but I've accumulated over 4,000 hours in TF2 over the years, so I'm certainly not new to the scene. If it's important, I do run my own server which is fairly active, and I know how to deal with cheaters or just regular ol' people trying to ruin other people's days.

If there's anything I can do to hopefully change your opinion to a +1 or simply answer any questions, please ask ^.^

As far as I can dig up you only stopped hacking less than a year ago

Your reputation as a hacker I'm sure still follows you around quite heavily given how publicized you were. It's not even necessarily the whole ex hacker thing that I'm concerned about, my main concern is you having admin would be a field day for the tf2 reddit hordes and Skial's competitors alike because Skial is a massive juggernaut in the TF2 scene, if not the #1 most popular gaming community in TF2. Having a very well known lmabox user who only 'retired' from hacking a year ago becoming admin here is giving those people a lot of ammunition to shit all over Skial with

It's surprisingly gone downwards at quite a steep trend. ~95% of the people I've seen have accepted the change and either support my decision or simply don't care either way. I'm certain some people would try and start issues or flame things over it, but I feel that it would only matter if you let it matter. I get the feeling that you're dubious about me stopping, and in case you think that I still cheat, check my profile. It wasn't banned, and if I had been using LMAOBox, it 100% would have been. I totally agree that it's one of the most prominent names in TF2, if not (as you said) THE most, so I certainly understand and can sympathize with your opinions. I personally don't think many people look at me as a "very well known LMAOBox user", and those that know my past (a surprising number of people either don't or have forgotten) look at me as "that guy who used to cheat but turned it all around".

You didn't report them for being racist. You reported them for, "being rude" which isn't against the rules.

Since you have a rep for hacking in online games, my -1 is a -∞ with a strong suggestion for the admins to decline this application. Which they're probably going to do anyway.

But.. right in the title, it says racism. And honestly, there's no need to be rude. I've explained the cheating reputation a little earlier on in this thread, but something tells me I wont be able to convince you. Sorry you feel that way, and again, if there's anythin' I can do to change your mind, please let me know. Cheers.

You can explain it all you want, but the fact remains that you went out of your way to use a 3rd party tool to ruin everyone else's games for the sake of your amusement. Since you're a former LMAOBOX user, you shouldn't even be allowed to play TF2 as it is, much less be an admin for a TF2 community server.

If you actually felt badly about hacking on TF2, You wouldn't be playing TF2 right now. You would accept the consequences of being a hacker and never play TF2 again.

Trust me, you and quite a few other people have that opinion, but that doesn't change the fact that I've done everything I can think of to try and make up for it all. Is there anything (other than me getting banned forever) that I could do that would maybe at least make your opinion of me neutral? I'd love to prove that I'm genuine, whatever it takes.

You don't have to respond and that's 100% fair, I can't fault you on it at all. Simply leaving, in my opinion, would not be the right thing to do. If anything, most people would see it as me just running away, rather than facing it head on and trying to fix everything, or at least make up for what I've done. While it might make it up for you, I can't say it's something I'd ever do.

One last side note - I'm not a hacker. I used to use a cheat, but I certainly never made the thing. If I was still cheating to this day, of course what you're saying would be fine, but it would be most appreciated if you accepted that I haven't cheated for a while, now. I'm long past that and according to most people, far along the path of making everything right again. Just my two cents on it, I know you're not gonna reply, but I wanted to say it anyways.

Why is this even being talked about anymore? Hes a known hacker, I dont think it should matter if he stopped. I don't want anyone who uses hacks in TF2 to be an admin period, even if they did stop. It leaves a bed really bad rep for skial (more then we already get) as it is. I really don't think this app is going to go anywhere at all, because most people in the community including the forums hate hackers, pre-hackers or not.

Not to sound like a broken record, but I was never a hacker. I used to use a cheat, that's pretty much it.

Uh... Read back what you said because its pretty stupid. You just called yourself a hacker. Calling it 'cheating' does not make it any better at all.
