As some others have been saying, it would be nice to have the variation.

List of some bosses for examples:

"Wouldn't they be OP?"

To get this out of the way now, the main argument seems to be new Hales could possibly be OP.

The current Hales Skial runs are already OP. I've logged a lot of time on Skial's VSH and this is what I always see nearly every round:
-Any half-decent Hale can win a round without much trouble.
-Any decent Hale can win with plenty of health to spare while using rage sparingly.
-Any good Hale can spank a entire team without falling below 10k health on a full server without using rage once

Very rarely do I see Hale die unless he's being played by a very inexperienced player. Aside from that, 85% of the time Hale wins.

My point being is all the Hales are OP. Some more than others, but at the end of the day even the worst of the worst Hale's can easily clean up a team without much skill.

To back this up, I've only died once in the past month while playing Hale and I'm horrible at Hale.

Unless there are some major changes to game mode most, if not all of the bosses will remain overpowered

Those are only available for freak fortress and the last time there was a suggestion to change to freak fortress, most of the people didn't want it.

If people want it now, it could be done.

Should I make another suggestion for freak fortress?

What is freak fortress?

Its basically a modification of Vs. Saxton Hale. It's almost identical, but allows more bosses and comes with two extra bosses pre-packaged

There are some minor weapon changes (baby face blaster receiving mini crits once the meter gets full for example), aside from minor stuff like that its pretty much Vs. Saxton Hale with more bosses

If it's just VSH with more bosses, I don't see why we shouldn't change it. We could just change one server and see the community reaction, then go from there.

We've actually had a suggestion before, but it was declined.
FF isn't all to fun anyway. The players have a outstanding advantage over hale.

The hales main perk is a butt-load of health, and though he starts with rougly 60k health: the players have extremely buffed weapons, most of which have increased knockback. The most popular is sniper (for whom I don't believe we have a class limit on hale), who's SMG shoots crit rockets.

And if there's any hale we need to add its

I lookved over the Freak Fortress wiki. It's pretty much the same thing as VSH balance wise

I'll compare a section here for example

Freak Fortress - Sniper balance:

  • All passive secondary weapons are replaced with the SMG.
  • Jarate lowers the the boss' rage meter by 10% on hit, but does not grant mini-crits.
  • All of Sniper's weapons do 2.9x damage.
  • The Bazaar Bargain isn't allowed and is replaced with the stock Sniper Rifle.
  • A hit from a Sniper Rifle marks the boss, causing him to be visible through walls to the entire team for several seconds. The duration of this effect depends on the power of the shot.
  • The Huntsman's damage is increased by 50%.
  • The Hitman's Heatmaker will gain focus on each hit, and focus gained varies on the charge of the shot.
  • The Sydney Sleeper does 2.4x damage against the boss when the boss's rage is less than 90 percent. When it goes over 90 percent, it does 2.9x damage.
  • The Cozy Camper gives you a submachine gun with no Crits and reduced damage, in addition to its attributes.

Vs. Saxton Hale - Sniper Balance:
  • All Sniper Rifles, excluding the Sydney Sleeper, deal 2.9x more damage than normal. The Sydney Sleeper deals 2.4x more damage, but deals 2.9x extra damage when Hale's rage is more than 90%. Critical hits do not affect this damage output, only forcing the damage spread to its maximum. Mini-crits will increase the knock back dealt, but will decrease the damage dealt.
  • The SMG always performs Critical hits.
  • The Bazaar Bargain is not allowed and is replaced with the Sniper Rifle.
  • The Sydney Sleeper will not apply Jarate to bosses.
  • The Sniper Rifle causes the boss to glow (so that other players can see him through walls) for several seconds. The time added to the glow timer scales based on the charge of the shot.
  • The Huntsman deals 50% extra damage.
  • The Cozy Camper, along with its attributes, also gives the player a custom SMG that causes the boss to bleed for 1.5 seconds on hit, deals 15% less damage, and does not randomly Crit. It is also not granted Critical hits by the gamemode.
  • The Razorback and Darwin's Danger Shield are replaced with the SMG.
  • The Jarate removes 8% of the enemy character's rage, removes one arrow from the Christian Brutal Sniper if he has any, and reduces the duration of the Vagineer's uber.
  • The Bushwacka will remove the damage boost given to the Sniper Rifles, but will allow the Sniper to hit a wall to 'jump' or boost upwards. The attack rate of the Bushwacka is reduced so that a player may not climb indefinitely, and each 'climb' deals around 15 damage to the player. The Bushwacka's effects are entirely disabled during Horseless Headless Horsemann Jr. rounds.
  • The Hitman's Heatmaker gains Focus on hit. The amount of Focus gained varies by the charge of the shot.

Unless you're playing on Freak Fortress 2x (2x = weapon stats multiplied 2x), you shouldn't be running into Hales with 60k health and players running around firing crit rockets out of SMG's

Freak Fortress plugin is kinda unstable but it's pretty easy to add new bosses, just modify some cfg's, add the models and you're done.
The downside to this is that the more bosses you add, the more unstable the server will become.

I think it's possible to add bosses in the vsh plugin that the servers are running currently, the problem is that you have to code them in sourcepawn and then compile the plugin... and good luck with not breaking the entire plugin.

By the way, vsh has been updated

That was the same problem cited years ago. It still hasn't gotten any better?

The problem with adding bosses to saxton hale is that whenever there is an update, I have to spend a lot of time adding the bosses back in and hope it doesn't crash.

That is not an official VSH update. It was also made by someone who says he is an amateur coder himself so I would continue using 1.42 unless there was some serious bug that is fixed in his version.

I didn't know it would cause so much trouble

If its gonna cause problems then personally I don't think they'd be worth adding just for the sake of variation

I think Freak Fortress would be worth a shot, and if it's bad, we just remove it and bring back VSH.
