So in June, skial Goldrush LA was bumped from 24 to 32 players since it does have a large fan base and is always full (at least when I play late night). Which is a good thing, full servers are always good.

I was thinking maybe skial would consider opening up another Goldrush LA server to support the growth of fans for Goldrush LA.

By this, I propose:
  • Either splitting the 32 player server into two 24 player servers
  • Or Leaving the 32 player server be and adding a 24 player server.
Of course I leave this is up to skial to choose which option is better cost wise and to also keeping players coming back. I don't see many West coast players on the skial forums (its like 80% Central / Eastern, 18% EU) so I'm not sure how much support this will receive but I will at least give it a shot.

Hey krze,

I see you on Goldrush LA quite often. I try to play as long as I can on the Chicago Goldrush server (being that I'm on the east coast; I also play dustbowl), but it usually dies late at night which is when the Goldrush LA is still very packed. I actually petitioned for that Goldrush LA slot extension a little over a month ago because it would always be full at 24, and it's been quite the success. I do get more lag on the west coast server and the additional lag from a 32 server that's to be expected is usually negligible (never performance lag for me).

All that said, I'd second the motion for the addition of a 24-slot Goldrush LA server while keeping the 32-slot Goldrush server LA, provided there are sufficient funds for it.

There are already three Dustbowl LA servers, one 32 slot, two 24 slot, and yet Dustbowl and Goldrush, to me, seem head-to-head in terms of popularity.
