Uncharitable Spy
40 player EU payload.
What an accident.
I am sure there was good intentions when this idea was had i.e. removing server queues, alas it's had such a detrimental effect.
Every map has become 24/7 dustbowl essentially, and by that I mean the-team-who-spams-most wins the fight. A meatgrinder has replaced casual fun, and individual skill has been diluted as overwhelming spam suffocates any 1v1 engagement. Softer classes have been especially negatively effected by the change as every corner has been turned into a brutal choke. 5 Engineers on a team used to be a meme but now its turned into the norm for a defence.
Tf2 has always been one of those rare games where teamwork is entirely optional and individual skill has allowed a player to influence the outcome of a match, or at the discretion of the player, have their own private interactions far from the front line - that has been entirely negated by introducing such a vast playerbase filling every flank.
40 player skial may be populated yes, and to the owner that might at first indicate a massive success in their decision making, but unfortunately that doesn't mean the experience has remained as fun. It has fundamentally changed and remains mediocre at best.
Why not simply reverse the change and instead a create new server rather than forcing regular players along with an non-consensual change?
