vpn

When I join a Skial server, it always says that I have VPN and that warns me that i will get banned, but i dont have any, does anyone know why?

So I use a vpn cause im usually paranoid and like to have my stuff private, and ive tried to use the split tunnel feature on my tf2 and steam but for some reason whenever I try to play skial i still get the vpn warning, is it possible for me to be banned?
