Currently players can only bet on their own team. The blu team only ever has 1 player, and in effect most of the time nobody bets on blu, rendering all bets void.
Allowing reds to bet on blu would make the betting system more active and fun for players.
It could arguably incentivize some reds to throw by slaying or deliberately picking a harder minigame, but I view that as fair, and people betting red can account for it. Throwing != griefing, and griefing is already not allowed and pretty much impossible to do on most maps. When maps have issues with allowing griefing those get fixed...
