A few months ago there was a suggestion made to increase the max player count of deathrun to 36, while this suggestion was passed there was some key changes Bottiger implemented after the fact that caused it to fail catastrophically. The main issue stemmed from Bottiger slowly raising the cap more and more the more maps we tested at higher counts, it started at around 40, but eventually was raised to 50 when Bottiger thought there was seemingly no issues. The problem was this many extra players created a unfortunately large amount of extra edicts that caused a lot of maps to crash. Eventually Bottiger lowered it to 40, and while many maps still had issues 95% of the maps in the map pool rotation were fine. Eventually Bottiger gave up and just lowered the player cap back to the original 32 limit. What I am suggesting is that Bottiger increases the player count to the originally suggested amount of 36, this is only a few slots more that would only add an extra 60 edicts but would greatly increase the amount of players that can play the server at peak times. As well as allowing more players to get in during peak times this would also allow maps with traps that kill lots of players per trap more room to shine from hales perspective.
