Understandable, but not the place. File an appeal on your ban and/or mute and hash your ban out there.

Was mentioned by a friend on the server at the time who doesn't wish to make reports themselves.

I can refrain from this in the future and encourage them to do so themselves in the future if you wish, but I have not been combing the chats as is disallowed. If proof is needed who was online at the time I can provide it as well, but I'm waiting for confirmation from them I'm allowed to give their name/profile.

Do not report players as the third party, as in this exact situation you are going to be held liable as though you were combing skial stats.

I would appreciate this private reporter chime in here directly

I've messaged him and linked the report. Ideally he will reply here, but the point was he didn't wish to face repercussions from reporting players, so it's up to him to respond.
