And where’s the option for voice chat?TF2 is a rated M game.
I think it's best to abide by that standard instead of pushing the limits of making it rated T for language.
And the slur filter is a handy tool. If users are not enacting those measures, then I feel sorry if they plan to have kids.
Otherwise, there is too much influence and credit being given to irresponsibility.
Built into the game menu (just muting a player). If the word is so dangerous, why would you want to listen to anything else the person might have to say? For a word is the summit to the mountain of thought below. (I am being a little facetious.)And where’s the option for voice chat?

@Meta fact check @geminiSo are you going to continue relying on AI's discernment to provide an in depth analysis, or will you think for yourself?
While AI generated summaries shouldn’t be used as an argument, that’s a pretty accurate explanation of that situation. They weren’t just doing that to be difficult. There is a lack of information gathered in an AI-generated response. I can even prove so with one myself.
Van Halen's "no brown M&Ms in backstage" ordeal.
The meaning was well understood back then, but AI twists the intelligence to protect the band's public image. Have at it:

It's only fair we measure validity of someone's contribution based on the recent level of activity in our community when Cream is doing it himself, nothing personal.my bad king ill make sure to quit my job so i can play on skial 24/7 and keep the servers up
It is backuped with sources, though i only rely on it if i can't think of an answer that's too much needed for my brain! There is a lack of information gathered in an AI-generated response. I can even prove so with one myself.

Though one clear example is Call of Duty TOS and despite it being a mature game, It does not encourage users to repeat their game behavior
blackrock mentioned"Someone else does it so we should also" isn't really the best of arguments and you'll find many complaints about the chat moderation on CoD.
Reminder that BlackRock is a significant shareholder in Microsoft which owns Activision. Its CEO, Larry Fink, wants to change your behaviour.
No Larry, I don't want to change my behaviour. This guy is as bad as Klaus Schwab who wants you to eat the bugs.
I ultimately think the core motivations behind this thread stem from this suggestion or is least inspired by it.The person who can’t have more than $6,000 in total assets or it affects the amount of benefits he can leech off the government is going to give us social studies lessons apparently.

There is a dividing line between people making arguments here that goes far beyond @Blade D_Hero playtime argument. But honestly it doesn’t come down to who is right just which group matters more to skial.
1. You have the motherfuckers that contribute to society. That for the most part work, go to school, volunteer, are in functional relationships etc. Saying they want to be part of a functional society where racial slurs are not permitted regardless of context and we treat each other with respect. A lot of these people are donators and admins of the server.
2. Then you’ve got the unemployed chronically online vocal minority screeching that skial should allow a literal racial slur used by and for a group of people that were sold in the USA. AFRICAN SLAVES. Because that’s what this is, it’s a slave word to demean slaves and the descendants of slaves. Stating that allowing said word will somehow stop the bleeding of players leaving skial.
Now Bottiger has to decide which group’s opinion matters more to the longevity of a community has been the Shepard for nearly a decade and a half. And I see no possibility it is group 2.
