Introduction
This is the story behind Otaku.tf’s and their owner, Hestia, which former members compiled. Since Hestia is known for rebranding and scrubbing the internet to escape their previous actions, many community members do not remember or never knew what happened. This information isn’t as readily accessible as it used to be, and it has been without countless hours of digging, and we want to change that. Thankfully, Skial is allowing us to preserve this info on their site, free from Methi’s removal requests.
Who is Hestia?
Hestia is a SourceMod plugin developer and the owner/operator of Otaku.tf. Hestia abuses alt accounts and as such can be found under many aliases including: Oshizu [1], Hestia[1], Samiya, xiaoli [2], Es☆ [1], Kyoko24 [3], Natsuki # [4], Morphine ☆ [1], and Meth [6]. Many other alt accounts are suspected to be Hestia. However, they lack direct ties to them. Hestia has been directly involved with the following communities: Otaku.tf [5], Wonderland.tf (aka wln.tf) [3], and festive.tf [3]. So in all of these screenshots, whenever you see a different name, it is just Hestia (Otaku owner) under a different alias.
Methi’s Loli Issue
We do not believe Hestia should be allowed to run any TF2 community due to their troubling past with minors. Holding a position of authority in a community of children is prone to abuse. Below are several examples of both disgusting and abhorrent comments that Meth/Hestia has made regarding minors. If more proof is needed that Hestia/Meth are the same person you can reference this image.
In our efforts to conserve as many of these screenshots as possible, one can be assured that there are numerous instances where Meth has made comments similar to those shown here. With these screenshots, it should be abundantly clear that this person should not be in charge of a community where many minors play on their servers.
Other Various Incidents
In addition to the highly inappropriate Discord messages, Hestia has engaged in many other questionable actions while managing Otaku.tf. Although we do not fully comprehend their validity, the screenshot and information we do have are still deeply concerning.
Fake Players
ZE_Ascension
A Discord user named Trevor R | T-Revvington created the map ZE_Ascension. During its creation, Trevor R would develop the functional map, pass it to an Otaku.tf staff member named Slendr, and then Slendr would pass that map on to Hestia/Methi. Methi would then upload the map and test its features. One day, Trevor R discovered that he had been completely banned from Otaku tf’s Steam Group, Discord, and all of their servers, and had been subsequently blocked by most of the staff members. The next day, he found his map stolen and added to Otaku tf’s ZE map rotation without his permission. This led to Trevor R threatening legal action, but he did not follow through, as they eventually decided to take it down.
