Hello Skial Staff, Admins, and Fellow Players,

I’d like to propose something that I believe could bring new life, variety, and community engagement to the Skial network — dedicated Jailbreak servers.

What is Jailbreak?

For those unfamiliar, Jailbreak is a unique and role-based game mode that pits two teams in a prison scenario — Guards and Prisoners. Guards give orders, prisoners must follow them, and chaos (or clever escapes) often ensue. It's a mix of strategy, deception, teamwork, and fun.

It’s more than just TF2 as usual — it's a social, dynamic mode that encourages mic use, personality, creativity, and roleplay. Every round is different.

Why Skial Should Add Jailbreak Servers:

1. Expands Game Variety

Currently, Skial focuses on tried-and-true modes like 2Fort, Dustbowl, and Trade. Adding Jailbreak gives players something new and encourages longer play sessions.

2. High Community Engagement

Jailbreak players are loyal and vocal. These servers often build tight-knit communities. Skial already has a strong playerbase — why not give them more to be loyal about?

3. Skial’s Brand + Jailbreak = Perfect Fit

With your anti-cheat systems, responsive moderation, and polished server structure, Skial could easily run the best JB servers on the platform. You already have the infrastructure — this is a content upgrade, not a technical overhaul.

4. Potential to Attract New Players

Many players look specifically for Jailbreak. Adding these servers can pull in new traffic, diversify the community, and keep Skial competitive against other TF2 server networks.

What I’d Suggest:

  • Launch a test Jailbreak server under the Skial name.
  • Use a popular map like jb_undertale, jb_minecraft, or jb_8bit to start.
  • Gauge community interest, maybe even run a poll or feedback thread to track its success.
  • Have a set of basic JB rules (many existing servers already have good templates to base on).

Final Thoughts:

Jailbreak is loud, creative, and memorable. Skial already has a reputation for fun, accessible TF2 experiences — adding Jailbreak would amplify that even more.

I would love to see what Skial could bring to this mode. With the right support, it could easily become one of the most active JB communities in TF2 today.

Thanks for reading — I’d love to hear what the rest of the community and the admins think.

All these maps suck lol

Also I have a question : what would make skial JB much different than the other JB servers? (Panda-Community's 1 warden per round * , Blackwonder.tf BHOP addition) What specialty would skial bring that would be unique to skial and not other servers?

Such as Wardens being allowed to type instead of using the mic (displayed like an admin text in the middle of your screen).
Or the baiting rule being completely removed (Any hit on BLU = KOS no matter what)
Games that involve the warden being able to choose who dies like Hat Day were banned. (Opened up to favoritism)
I saw these propositions and thought, "damn these suck.

No. Just No.. There are handful enough people with voicechat that it would be better to just let the people with voicechat be able to be warden, whats stopping prisoners from just rushing the warden while they're typing? What makes using voicechat as warden better is that you're using your voice and not your fingers to rely in.

Baiting rules exist to intentionally punish players who try to get to close to the prisoners, if this isnt added, what would stop the guards from just hugging prisoners, and the prisoner cant do anything about it since they would be easy to kill if they hit the guard. And if it's made against the rules, then most of the time reports would be baiting reports, which would not look pretty.

Also ur thing against games with favoritism, would that mean games like deathrun would be banned aswell? Because Warden can choose who can die there aswell? Prop Dodge? Strafe Race? Any game with a button?

Tell me you never played jailbreak without saying you never played jailbreak.

The other guards.

If a guard goes right up to the prisoners there is a good chance they will get killed so it's in their best interested to keep some distance.

Both points are valid, other guards should be stopping REDS from attacking the warden but at the same time JB guards are usually pretty dense from experience which will probably lead to most rounds with a text-chat warden ending in a mass rebel

I just think allowing wardens to speak in text instead of voice is not good , sorta like ZE in which you dont have leaders typing in chat.

It also causes people to rebel more because people that write in chat are taken way less serious against people with voice.

That's because you're used to Panda JB guards who don't know how to aim. On Skial JB the guards didn't have crits so they had to be able to aim however the warden also had some resistance added and heavies were allowed to keep their miniguns spinning so it was still fairly balanced.
