New Suggestions for deathrun maps

When are we going to Boycott Skial until good maps are added back into rotation instead of favoring brain rotted low attention span slop?

when there's a better alternative that:
a: doesn't have 60 million bad plugins like panda dr
b: doesn't mess with class speeds like retro
c: actually has players willing to play more than once to "own skial"
D: has a shorter cooldown then 5-10 maps, both panda and retro both currently suffer from this
E: has a good server location where ping is acceptable for both na and eu players.
F: Doesn't artificially restrict weapons or abilities for seemingly no reason other than "wanting to be different" instead of only banning exploitable ones.
At the moment no server except skial comes anywhere close to what most players would consider a "mostly vanilla" death run experience.

  • dr_simulacrum would go to the Parkour server.
  • dr_scooby_doo used to be on the server but was removed because of one certain part of the map where everyone kept dying.
  • dr_bank used to be on the server but was eventually removed due to declining popularity.
  • no opinion on dr_js_arcade.
  • no opinion on dr_spinner.
  • dr_waterrun is on the Parkour server (I think).
  • dr_technoir is on the Parkour server (I think).
  • dr_bootcamp used to be on the server but people kept spamming automode (Hale would leave every other round where it wasn't available).
  • dr_fogotten_origin is on the Parkour server.

Better alternative: Play a different fucking gamemode or game entirely.

What parkour server? These are deathrun maps, not parkour maps, which typically have par_ prefix. I just checked out skial parkour server and none of the maps are on it, only par_* maps

Yeah, the par_ are shitty edits of the maps that are basically an automode. I am not fond of them.

And to think that the original suggestion by Cream Tea was for a separate deathrun server with only maps that deemed to be difficult, so no modifications needing to be done to them.

Simulacrum sadly can't go to the server


Mapper of that map forbids uses of his creation to Skial!

There actually was a period where the server was ran as it was it was on the suggestion, at first it was broken as there was no way for reds to join blu for the first day, but even after that small bug was ironed out the average player count only peaked at around, I want to say 9-10 players. Bottiger only implemented the par_ change after it was obvious these players didn't really stick around or play consistently enough to warrant the game mode in its current state; players would often complain about free runs (because a lot of parkour maps rely on traps for their difficulty with jumps) and with hales using traps as it was basically impossible to win on any given round if the player count was only like 5-10 people at any given moment.

panda is a few servers down
