Banned
I don't really know how best to put this but me and Dave who were active VSH admins back in the day would never ban anyone just for turning a blind-eye to one of their friends as the boss. Now if someone is delaying the round after everyone else is dead then that's different but simply letting a friend stay alive until the end of the round to RPS them was never considered banworthy. Unfortunately certain new admins don't know any better and in my opinion are being taken advantage of by a certain user who is only here to stir the pot.

But hale is blue

It's reds who are being banned for "friendlying" because their friend, who is now the boss, is saving them until everyone else is dead. Perhaps I should have made it clearer but I thought it would be obvious considering the rest of the discussion and what's been going on.

but only blue was banned tho not the red guy

That was something else and I would have banned that guy too for delaying so long.

This is what we're mainly talking about:

The videos no longer exist but the point is that this kind of thing was never something admins in the past tended to ban over.

Look I get it, it's not fun getting reported or having your friends be reported. It's easy to just say that I'm abusing the report system and dislike me, which is fine.

The reason I'm making reports is not to get anyone banned out of malice, and it's not for admin or anything else like that. It's just that at a certain point, it doesn't even become a FF2 server anymore. It has very little moderation which just allows people to do whatever they want mostly, and it's been like this for a long time. And by enabling behavior like this without repercussions, it's only gonna get worse and encourage others to do the same thing. I don't make reports on every detail I come across, if I did, I'd probably have like 3x more reports than I currently have, but thats not what I do. I understand there is a fine line between things and that context is important, which is why I try to provide evidence and a valid explanation. Every report is a learning experience for me and others.

What I'm doing is not "killing" the server by any means, the stats will tell you otherwise. And if anything, the recent talks about all this may have brought even more attention to the server if anything partly due to the reports I have made, I mean just look at caramel now having interest in the server.

But again, it's easier to just ignore all of this and just say "My friends got reported in a video game and now I am angry! So lets throw insults at him and tell him to kill himself and try to track where he lives." This kind of behavior is not making the situation better for anyone.

You're right it's been like that for a long time and that's why it's thrived. If you suddenly start being heavy-handed with it now that will upset the balance.

Look, I don't personally agree with some of Prokid's report but outright trying to auto-mark his reports as invalid all because its "killing the servers" is going a bit too far.
Also, I will admit that my ragging on this forums with Prokid was very uncalled and I really should had handled it better than just saying you stink or you're stupid to him. Sorry if I made you feel uncomfy, Prokid.

No worries, It's no problem at all. Anyone has the right to disagree, and it is all a learning experience.
