So you want to encourage more players to play on the parkour server? Give them an incentive to play. The first person to reach the end gets 100 credits or something like that and this can be done by hooking onto existing trigger_once entities.

Redsun does this on their surf maps and it gets people to play the gamemode.
Depending on the map, give players more points. Maybe up to like 500 on the real hard maps.
Maybe only make it like once per map per day though so people don't just farm 100000 points in an hour

we do need this. No one actually plays the parkour server, but after this, there might be players coming back
and, not that much of the community sit on these forums; it would be nice to make announcements in chat. For example: "Don't have enough points? Try out our Parkour server! Get to the end to receive your free points. Type "!hop" to connect."

If it's once per map, you could just go there, RTV every 10 minutes and farm points. You should be skilled enough though, but there are plenty of capable players
if possible, there should be a cap for how many maps you can do in a day. Let's say 3. So, after 3 completed maps, you will not receive more points for today.
Also, 100 points per map completion is neat. You already get 35 points for playing because the server's never full.

I don't think that would be a big problem in fact it would make it way more competitive. That would actually give us a reason to add the power-ups that bottiger wished we had done.

Well too be honest, adding the powerups will be impossible to balance on maps like PKP,Neonoir,Hell Lands,etc.


If i did add powerups then i would rather had them benefit the player in terms of speed,dmg buff,nothing to harm other players.


and besides its kinda hard to even make powerups, Unless if bottiger whips up some powerup VScript or lets us use ZE commands for the powerups.

Yes, but "hardcore deathrun" being primarily only a handful of DR maps with automode isn't very enticing to play, and it even the actual deathrun server suffers from having maps be deemed too complicated and put on parkour instead.
 
+1. Parkour is in desperate need for a playerbase, and credits are a good reward for playing the maps to completion.
As for the actual amount to give the player, 100 credits sounds like a good amount to test the waters with.

In my opinion, it would make sense to have it be exclusive to Parkour to incentivize playing the gamemode over Deathrun.
I think the credit reward on map completion mechanic would need to be tested on Parkour first, anyway, before giving it to Deathrun, too.

i think it's best to try it out for parkour first to see the outcome and results of it, if it actually works then we can think of applying it to other game modes.

Is can be done for DR but it would be more work considering how many more maps there are plus it would be too easy to rig. Hales could simply let their friends reach the end whereas parkour is completely automatic.

there's freeruns and such. Some maps require certain skill to get through, like junglemines, but others like cocainum or ancient are basically no effort. So no, it would be too much. Plus, players might think "why do i have to suffer huge ping and play a difficult map, while i can ask for an freerun and get to the end in 5 minutes?"
 
Honestly, if this gets added, my daily routine would be to "hop on parkour, beat a map/maps and go to deathrun"
parkour server would actually serve a purpose for once
